My shelves aren't even big, the stacked pair are about one foot by four in terms of ground space taken, and the other standalone one is about one by one and half, each having six rows to hold all my stuff while still having a little room to grow. Room's a tad cramped overall, but has enough space to move through, and not having the shelves in the room honestly wouldn't change it too much.

Fair enough, but try not to spend that much if you can help it (and there's no shame in also using modded systems or emulators for what you can't find, can't find at a reasonable price, didn't come to your region, needs fan patches to fix/add shit, etc), and only, and obviously, just go for what is of actual interest to you to play, rather than being a "full set" fag with an entire room for a single system's library, or buying shit just because it's hard to find. I'm just saying, even though it sounds like you probably are aware enough of how to handle things.
Oh, and good luck with trying to get complete copies of DS games at decent prices, the actually good ones without reprints, I mean. Gamestop trashed pretty much all their "extras" in rendering their preowned copies cart only years back, and while more lax about doing so now, they fucked the aftermarket up. Especially when it comes to games that were already hard to find as is. Though if you're fine with just printing your own covers, there's resources like TCP, but that doesn't help with getting manuals (obviously those would be more work).
