Fuck me, I still remember looking for that shit with other anons. It was neat when we’d actually find real things. I still have a “””cursed””” game maker game called “the Crimson Room” that was being passed around back in the day. It was terrible but like Yume Nikki it had a couple weird things that randomly happened from time to time.

About to go to bed, but I bet I can find it somewhere in my maze of files and upload it real quick tomorrow. It’s super shit though. I think the dev wanted it to be like Yume Nikki but gave up when he realized making games is hard. You play as a little girl and you start out in your bedroom. You can leave your bedroom but I don’t think you can get back in making you just close out the game and have to restart it. The kicker is that very rarely when you start it you get the “red room” glitch that just creeped people out and they claimed it made them feel weird. Looking back now, it was just a bunch of teenagers wanting to be a part of the next creepy internet thing, but good memories none the less.

Something similar ended up happening fairly recently with another surreal game. A game called Garage: Bad Dream Adventure turned up after years of searching and was uploaded. The creator has made a few half-assed attempts to take the disk rip and video walkthroughs down, but the disc can still be found on the Lost media wiki, and the videos through a cursory search.

A shame they're kind of hard to play because the HL2 engine wasn't designed for melee, good luck doing any combo that isn't the basic 3 punch/punch punch kick combo because of input lag and the engine not being able to handle it, which sucks because you get shit like shoryuken clones and a combo that launches enemies into the air, follows up with an aerial kick and then a punch that sends them flying.

There's Space Funeral its short but if you like RPGs is alright. Its an abstraction of the creator dealing with his own transexuality. In the same vein, OFF is a solid RPG with strong surrealist themes. That allows you to pick a third gender., as has been mentioned in-thread. LSD: Dream Simulator is the ur-surreal game given that most of its settings are procedurally generated and therefor guaranteed to never be the same.
In Necrovision, it starts as a WWI fps but it quickly descends into a nightmare world of zombies and demons and shit and goes on for a long time after that, but I suppose its only surreal in the abstract. For that matter, Doom 3 has its moments.
A game I personally like and will shill for is Hellnight. It starts as a horror-adventure game where you run from a mutant experiment but thats just the start of your spiral down into madness underneath tokyo, and you need to play through it six times to see all the content, but thankfully its fast to go through after the first time.
There's also Antichamber which tries to be surreal on the physics aspect, but its a little bit "pretentious art-project," like.
