Listen up OP, this is gonna be the only post in this thread that matters because I go out of my way to find local-multiplayer games on PC. I'm going to give you a few of my fave games regardless if they're on GOG because you're better off pirating this shit anyways. Here we go:
—
>Overcooked 2
https://youtu.be/gEjbXb_eZcs
You and 3 other friends need to make orders on-time with various ingredients. What seems like a simple silly game becomes a stressful teamwork-oriented nightmare as everyone needs to communicate to put things together properly or else it devolves into chaos.
>Battleblock Theater
https://youtu.be/pv1ZoHt6poI
Fun co-op puzzle game where you and your friend have to work together to find gems in levels of various difficulties. Half the fun is trying not to fuck over your partner in hilarious fashion.
>Crawl
https://youtu.be/IAqjWpK6IO8
One player is the "hero" and 3 others can be Spectres that summon (and play as) various monsters that tries to kill the hero in random rooms. Whoever kills the hero becomes the hero. Gain items as a Hero or level up monsters as the Spectre.
>Helldivers
https://youtu.be/pyamRHYQXig
A top-down co-op alien shooter where you and 3 other friends need to do objectives while fighting off waves of ayyliens. What makes this game fun compared to similar games like L4D2 is that it punishes you for TK and not co-coordinating properly without the cancer. Places turrets, carry ammo and follow objectives or else you're fucked.
>Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
>https://youtu.be/Wxtjg52-0pc
An underrated top-down LC spin-off where you have to explore tombs and fight off enemies with a interesting arsenal of tools and weapons. What makes this game stand-out as a Co-op title is the various scenarios where you and a friend need to work together to avoid traps and crazy environmental hazards like a tomb crumbling or solving tricky puzzles.
>Streets of Rogue
https://youtu.be/BadKmGOu5pQ
Streets of Rage + Roguelite. Run around in randomly-generated towns and do various objectives with a ton of wacky characters. What makes this game fun is choosing one of the many characters with interesting abilities (vampire leeches HP, jock breaks thru walls, etc) and working with your buddy to basically go on a rampage while completing quests.
>Salt & Sanctuary
https://youtu.be/u_054dUJzCE
What if I told you this was one of the best Soulsborne games on the market and it was local-coop? Don't like the shitty artstyle fool you- this is basically 2D Darksouls with a far better skill-tree system, unforgiving levels and bosses so difficult it'll make both of you physically angry enough to "git gud". Brilliant game, criminally underrated. Out of anything here, give this one a try.

Well OP, I hope that gives you enough games to entertain you and your friend for awhile. PC has a ton of great local-multiplayer games, but they're all basically hidden. You gotta go out of your way to find the best shit.
