We're playing the base game with two mods: Carpathian Crosses (Romania) and Revenge of the Turul (Hungary), both new factions have their own guns and tanks. The mods have been packed up for you. The game runs natively on Linux (legitfag Linux users will need special instructions in the FAQ post, piratefag Linux users don't).

How to install
Legitfags: install the game with (((Steam))) then unzip the modpack to /steamapps/common/Red Orchestra and allow it to overwrite.
Piratefags: unzip the base game anywhere you want then run RunMeWindows or RunMeLinux. After that extract the modpack over the game, allowing overwriting. Then run the PlayRedOrchestra file to start the game.
How to join
It should be automatically added to your favourites tab. If not open the console (` or ' usually) and type open 149.28.50.128 (you can manually add a favourite by right clicking
Widescreen
Go to system/RedOrchestra.ini and change FullscreenViewportX= and FullscreenViewportY= (obviously if you're running it windowed changed windowed instead).

The game is now free to play and has a very active community. Donations to CliffyB will be appreciated, however.

How do I play?
Launch the game from steam.
What gamemodes are there?
Overcharge where you have to fight over a battery and keep it in your base until it reaches 100% charge. The battery keeps its charge so it's possible to steal it at 99% and cuck the other team majorly.
Uplink is pretty much the same thing as Overcharge except the progress is linked to the team not the object so cucking isn't possible.
Occupy is like King of the Hill with a zone that occasionally moves around.
Turf War is like King of the Hill but with 3 zones. Capturing a zone will get you one point and remove the zone. Once all 3 zones are captured they are reset. This continues until the score limit.
Blitzball has nothing to do with that shitty Final Fantasy minigame. You have to capture a ball and bring it back to your base. The ball will explode if it's held for too long.
Server?
Lawbreakers currently does not have a server browser or private game feature. Just enter the queue normally. Due to the low amount of players we are probably all going to be matched together.
I can't connect to the server
This is a common problem usually caused by tuEagles Anti-Porn. Ask your mom or the previous owner of the computer for the password to turn it off. If you are unable to find the password you may need to remove the sofware in order to play.
1. restart your computer in safe mode
2. press windows+r and run services.msc, find and disable the tuEagles service
3. open the device manager and uninstall all tuEagles drivers, they will start with "egl…"
4. disable the startup entry for tuEagles, in windows 8 or 10 this can be done via task manager, in earler versions run msconfig.exe
5. delete the tueagles program files located at C:/program files/tueagles
6. restart your computer

Where do you live?
1. They're generally classed as ultralights, which means some theory and perhaps 50h flight training. Owning one? Regulations are lax compared to most other aircraft and recently moved further towards the "freedom under responsibility" end of the spectrum. We have 20-hour inspections, 50-hour inspections and 100-hour inspections you can do yourself. A more proper inspection every year but now you can do it yourself two years and a licensed guy has to do it every 3rd year, at least over here.
You've heard correctly. There's the Pal-V as a hybrid but imo the infrastructure of roads and usable airfields is often far too disconnected from eachother to make it an usable option, except for sparsely populated areas. You will not have much room for baggage even in a hybrid. The hybrids probably don't excell as either, but could be convenient in a select few cases, tho I think there was some glorious madman at this years friedrichshafen who had put electrical motors on the main gear and managed to license it as a slow moving road veichle so it had that red triangle in the back.
2. Off the top of my head 1/5-1/10 of the cost of a heli, perhaps 1/2-1/3 of the cost of a normal cessna or piper, a bit more expensive than ultralight airplanes.
Using own experience and being moderately pessimistic, expect $50-70/h operating cost. Bear in mind that the more you fly the lower it gets because insurance is spread out over all the hours. Soley fuel is less than half that. Insurance $3-4k/yr, hangar a few hundred/yr. The one in vid went for $66k, but there are decent used ones for half that price. Price for hangar spot varies but a gyro takes up very little space so you can usually get a spot on the side.
3. Again, where are we talking about? (temp, environment, infrastructure etc.) What do you intend to use it for? (cross country, only short trips on nice summer evenings etc.) They are usually 2 seat tandem with pilot in front and generally either covered with a windshield or each seat with a small windshield.
Completely covered (as in vid):
Great for more comfy rides and longer flights (we don't go more than a few hundred km at the most, if you want to travel and have more flexibility with that, go airplane)
More room for baggage.
More comfy during varied weather except extremely warm and sunny.
Windshield in front:
You're closer to the experience, better if you and your guests want more adrenaline and excitement.
Cheaper
Good if you want to fly mostly when it's warm and nice.
If you want to take pictures there's no windshield and thus no risk of reflections, but this is minor.
Nothing (MTO-free):
You're rich and live in Dubai, get a few of each to play with at one of your model airfields.
I have only flown german Auto-Gyro ones and consider them of good quality. May be a bit more expensive tho. I have no idea about the situation in the states.
My advice:
Ask around at a local flying club if someone knows someone with a gyro to get info from and perhaps take you for a spin to try it out, if compensated for it. What types are locally used and suitable? Floats or nah? Local instructors for practice and theory who knows the rules about licensing?

just saying that a lot of the featured gamenight games are near constant, if it wasn't for the "cooldown" period it'd probably happen every night.
That being said since /vg/ is a thing now and growing I might see how a proposed gamenight thread would work with multiple games going, granted it wuld tear anons apart but theoretically you could do 1-3 games a weekend and have the first few posts listing how to installs, server IPs, etc for each game

Believe me weekly gamenights are impossible for a single group to organise. If they end on Sunday and you want the thread up Thursday evening you'd have three days to get everything done.
