Does your case have a DVD or bluray drive you never use? Take it out and get a USB to SATA connector for next to nothing so you can still use it.

shit thread, but if you've got the carpentry skills a desk case is really, really easy to make. there are tons of DIY instructions out there for them, and i can't remember which guide i followed but i built one for a friend a few years ago out of an older maple desk with drawers much like the one in your third image. the hardest part is getting a sheet of plexiglas cut to the right size since all the hardware places i went to only got huge sheets in at once and smaller pieces had to be custom ordered. other than that you simply need jigsaw/reciprocating saw skills, a drill, some screws and a few pieces of scrap wood or metal to make a platform for the motherboard.

with all that said you really don't need one. it serves literally no purpose aside from showing off to normalfags how epic you are and in fact can be even harder to properly ventilate and/or clean. it's also worth mentioning that more size = more fans required to move the air around properly, and if you've got a closed circuit water cooling system the included pipes will likely not be long enough and lengthening them is essentially impossible. the only real, tangible benefit is that more space means that it's easier to keep your cords organized but if you're not a knuckle-dragging mongoloid that should already be easy and possible with your current case. frankly i'd say just take your fucking case apart and reorganize it so that it works for you, or buy one of those top-mounted SATA docks where you can plug SSDs into it like they're flash drives

Don't forget red LED's and an Nvidia GPU for extra blast radius.

That's fag shit. But other than that, it's a decent idea. I'm also having the same problem where I can't buy more HDDs because of lack of room, but I might just put them on the floor or buy one of those mounts/outside holders like an absolute animal.

I can make due with what I have. Partially because I like tinkering with it to get it to work, partly because even with just $20 - that's money I could spend elsewhere, and partly because I never have to worry about some nigger stealing it because it doesn't look bling enough to bother with and the pawn value on computers from 2004 isn't even enough for a nicklebag of weed.

If all you need is more room for HDDs, just get a full-sized case. Costs like $100, maybe half that if you find a great deal, and has enough room for probably six HDDs. Plus room for expansion if they come out with GPUs that are the size of shoeboxes.

Or just finish those huge-ass games and then uninstall them.

Still insignificant. You can get 6TB HDD with no problem, and if you've got six of them in your case, that's like 35000 gigs of storage. I can't imagine even your hoarding ass being able to fill that. Will work a lot better than trying to cram them into some cabinet you've cobbled together in woodshop.

It's like you WANT the goddamn thing to melt. Airflow is everything, anon, and all the components that don't have a dedicated cooler are going to suffer if the only method they have to cool is fucking convection. Not to mention, unless you put it in a clean room, they'll get choked with dust in a week. Never forget: the biggest source of dust after housepets is YOU.
