I'm a little surprised if you didn't install Ensō given that it is so much nicer than having to set it up every time on boot. That said given regular HENkaku is not permanent you should be safe to just follow the guide as-is. If you had 3.60 Ensō you'd probably want to take precautions as you would for the old 3.60->3.65 update365 method.

Doesnt seem like the 'missing' DLCs (downloaded from the google sheet rather than NPS Browser) can be refreshed on Vitashell even after unpacking the pkg files manually with pkg2zip on command line (like when I did when setting up h-encore for the first time).

So yeah stuck with the problem of the huge amount of DLCs not showing up on the NPS Browser for no reason

NPS just released their first batch of comppacks, and NPSB and PKGj have been updated to support them.

https://nopaystation.com/vita/npsReleases/NPS_Browser_0.92.exe

https://github.com/blastrock/pkgj/releases/tag/v0.31

https://gitlab.com/nopaystation_repos/nps_compati_packs/raw/master/entries.txt

PKGj users need to remove the "entries.txt" because reasons.

Currently only unpatched games are supported, patch support will come later this week (along with, presumably, another version of PKGj that actually supports more than one comppack per game).

Apparently pngshot's actually as fast as the built-in function, unlike the really old screenshot plugin that freezes the game for a couple seconds. The only drawback is a lengthy cooldown between being able to take them.

Still RB3ing, made the point to check Stella's dungeon, and wishing I'd done it sooner since it's apparently a source of plans and CPU parts, on top of other useful things, and doesn't demand much attention since it plays by itself. That'll probably help a lot to know if I ever get back to RB2.

Also Plutie's special moves are so great.

You do need an actual Sony memory card if you're on a 1000 model. The 2000 can use it's internal storage.

You should be fine just using the normal update method to 3.65 and then installing enso through h-encore.

>>15212612

I really hate the term "noteworthy" because of how many factors are involved that could change a game's noteworthiness to each individual.

Check the site in the OP labeled "upcoming games", it lists a majority of the releases coming to the Vita outside of the extreme indie titles that aren't announced early. Decide yourself from there.

If you need people to tell you which games are "noteworthy" you need to work on fixing your shit taste.

>By "the normal update method" you need to have your DNS settings at a particular thing or otherwise you update to latest

Yeah I retarded that sentence, it should have said "official update pup" since you can go from official 3.65 to 3.65 enso without going from 3.60 and just using h-encore is way less work than using the modified 3.65 pup/update365 method.

>I was about to ask whether it was unsafe homebrew disabled

I believe any homebrew needing extended permissions has to request it on install and there is no method I am aware of to remove permissions.

Installing VPKs tells you the permissions it will be able to use, but you can also switch off extended permissions system-wide in HENkaku settings. Which isn't all that useful since a lot of VitaShell's common functions require it but still.

91741c  No.15216274

I got back in to Mary Skelter this week. The localization itself isn't horrible but there are various typos that I've noticed; missing capitalization, extra words, etc. Nothing glaringly obvious where they took "artistic liberties" in a way that fucks with characters though.

I'm in the Dorms area currently I believe I'm slightly over the halfway point based on areas I can see and holy shit this game's dungeons rapidly spread the fuck out, each floor of the later dungeons are probably about the same size as the first couple of dungeons in their entirety.

There's also a lot of samey puzzles/dungeon progression, most deal with arrow redirection, bombs, and scissors, sort of feels like they ran out of inventive ways to use the map abilities in the first few dungeons.

>>15215056

Ah, that didn't occur to me because I've only touched the henkaku settings maybe three times total.

It sort of undermines the seriousness of the original intent of the "unsafe homebrew" setting since literally everything needs something that is considered "unsafe".

>or why they can't just print more of the original cases themselves which would lower value of the current ones in the market anyways.

It's not so much that Sony cares about the rising price of original releases but that they want more original retail cuts. By reprinting the games they get money from that rather than people buying "collector's" copies of games that they Sony get no cut of.

They also do allow devs to reprint without the "Greatest Hits" moniker but generally "Great Hits" type releases are after a decent portion of time (one or more years) so it's designed to draw attention to the reprint and a bit to stop people trying to sell them as original print runs.

I'm looking for some help with SD2Vita. I'm running H-Encore Enso on a PSTV 3.65. I received my adapter, used vitashell to put all the drivers in their proper place under ur0, added "ur0:tai/gamesd.skprx" to ur0:tai/config.txt, formatted my SD using the correct files and copied the entire ux0 directory onto it, then restarted to find that it wasn't being picked up at all. So I did some digging online and figured out that "ur0:tai/gamesd.skprx" needed to be the first line under the kernel heading for it to load in the correct order. I went into vitashell, made the correction, then rebooted. This time it refused to properly boot at all. My HDMI splitter repeatedly shows a signal coming from it for 3 or 4 seconds before shutting off, then turning back on again. I have two adapters, both 3.0, but neither one seems to make a difference. My guess is that it's one of a few things. Either it's failing to mount the SD properly because both of my adapters happen to be faulty (which apparently isn't too unlikely from what I've read), I did something wrong with my SD card and need to either move files around or reformat, or some other unknown issue that I can't diagnose. If anyone has any insight on this issue, It'd be greatly appreciated. I'll stick around in case I need to answer any questions

I would post my config, but I don't have access to it without vita shell. No booting means I unfortunately can't access it right now. If there's any way around that, I'd very much like to know. Because otherwise I think I'm dealing with a brick. I took at look at the tutorial. It's not the one I followed, but the steps are all exactly the same. The tutorial I used was from Codedonut. One thing that'd help me figure out how fucked I am would be a report of what happens with a properly setup SD2Vita when a memory card is absent. I'd assume the console just defaults to internal memory as it does with regular memory cards, but I'm not sure. Actually come to think of it that shouldn't matter at all in my situation. I've already tested without a memory card and it still won't boot. So unless there's some way to access my ur0 config file without the shell I'm probably bricked. I'm genuinely baffled as to how this happened, as all I did was change the position of one line.

Just how many parts does this VN have? Does this all occur in the same game? I'm aware of Muv-luv and muv-luv alternative, are those different "parts"?

Also how long is each part? I don't wanna be left in limbo too long before the action begins unless its really a masterpiece worth being patient for

The vita release that's just titled Muv-Luv holds extra (this is the one that's more like a traditional dating sim VN and is the first part), and unlimitied (the second part). Alternative is the 3rd part. Unlimited and Alternative fulfill what you want, but I think they require the first part for context

Doesn't holding L on boot just load the config from ur0 instead of ux0?

If he installed SD2Vita as it's normally done I don't think holding L would prevent misconfigured plugins from loading because part of that is deleting the ux0 config from the Sony card to get config loaded by the internal memory by default.

>>15248374

Try inserting a regular memory card and try to restore the system.

Check your config for trailing spaces, check your SD card for errors, make sure your card is seated well/has clean pins.

If that doesn't work you might be able to fix it by reinstalling 3.65/enso to see if that allows you to boot.

>Decided to play Malicious Rebirth with vsh.

It's such a massive improvement. While the (first half of the) game on default runs about as well as the PS3 version, the PS3 version ran like garbage. With vsh the vita version actually performs better, staying at or close to 30 fps, save for the huge boss fights that have lots of grunts where it'll still chug, just not as bad as it would be without vsh. Obviously, no point in playing this if you have the PS4 version (unless you want a portable option), but if you have to pick between PS3 or vita, get vsh and play it on the vita. Mad Queen is a lot more fun now, and is easily the best boss in this version, since unlike the very last boss in the vita version, she can't be cheesed.

I used this guide for the main h-encore enso installs both times; https://vita.hacks.guide/ and this time I used https://vita.hacks.guide/storagemgr as my SD2Vita configuration. Before I thought that I may have made a slight error when editing my config which caused the boot loop, but this time I know for a fact that I did it correctly. ur0:tai/config.txt was the first line under kernel, I had no ux0:tai to worry about, and every other line was pathed correctly to ur0. But despite this, I once again am stuck with a boot loop. I didn't save my tai config because I was confident I wouldn't need to which I understand was foolish but what's done is done., but I assure you that I made no mistakes. My best guess is that it tries to mount the SD card as ux0, is unable to find it, then reboots ad infinitum. I'm gonna place an order for a 5.0 adapter, as they're supposedly more reliable. If that still doesn't work, you'll probably see me popping up here again. For now though, can't thank you enough for the help, god bless.

Mana Khemia is just Atelier with a larger emphasis in combat, so it doesn't differ much from them.

Ar tonelico on the other hand, is a series that takes in a ridiculously developed sci-fantasy universe where the developers wen to the point of making up six different languages for it (four of them having each a fully functional grammar and a decently-sized lexicon), a timeline spanning over 10000 years of history, several in-universe myths and legends and a complete scientific and cosmological framework to explain why everything happens on it.

Couple that with thought-provoking stories, decently developed characters (of which the main heroines generally have the most development), and a soundtrack that must simply be listened as you play through the game.

PSTV anon again. I got two SD2Vita 5.0 adapters and once again they made no difference. But since I'm confident I made no errors on the vita side, and since I really don't want tot redo everything again if I don't have to, I'm now working under the assumption that I fucked up something with the SD card itself. I can't for the life of me discern what it could've been though. I wrote the zzBlank.img disc image to the card, then formatted it in exFat with default allocation size and no volume label. I did use quick format, but I doubt that'd make a difference. Anyways the other place I could be making a mistake with is the file pathing on the card. If this is the case, then I'm gonna feel like a fuckin idiot, but so be it. All I've been doing is dumping my ux0 backup onto the root of the card. I tried it with the backup in a folder labelled ux0 as well just to be thorough, but it naturally made no difference. I'm getting a bit tired of doing all this, but I'm not gonna give up. I'm going to try a few things myself, but any suggestions are of course appreciated.

iirc the plugin has multiple versions some of them are for internal memory duping (everything points to ur0) and the other are memory card duping (everything points to ux0).

Make sure you have the right plugin for what you're trying to do and if you're duping ur0 you may need to delete the ux0 tai (or just the config file) so it doesn't load instead of ur0.

Atelier is a serie of games that use time-management and creating various kind of items from your travel findings. The items you create range between battle equipment for your party, items that make gathering materials easier, and obviously items necessary for the plot. In Atelier Rorona, you have to complete the tasks designated by the kingdom in order to avoid the shop to be closed down because of your master's laziness. In Atelier Totori, the heroine want to find the truth about her adventurer mom's whereabouts. There are no big bad guys or some ancient evil in those games.

The Plus versions on Vita are basically the base games + all the DLCs from the PS3 versions.

Like someone pointed out, the series peaked with Escha&Logy. Shallie is okay, but it was the first game to abandon the time-management element, and the Plus version had the second half of the story rewritten due of massive backlash in Japan. Play it if you want a closure of that trilogy though.

Dont bother with Sophie, Firis and the twins one. They're bad games on top of being ports on Vita too.

Vita has access to the PS1 Atelier (Marie & Ellie) the PS2 Atelier (on PSP format such as Viorate, Judie and Mana Khemia 1&2). The sole Atelier games missing on portable format are the Iris games. Kinda wished there would be a Vita port of the PS2 Ar tonelico too.

Most of the Vita/PSP library is locked behind the japanese language barrier, and then you have the matter of the (((localizations))). I recall Atelier Rorona/Totori/Meruru Plus still using the NISA's translation script even if those versions were published by KT in the West.

Still looking forward with hope that we see more Vita ports of niche nip PS2 games, although the PSP did that job pretty good too. Cant complain about the current vita library anyway, especially with Catherine Fullbody being the icing in the cake for this year's fall. Bullet Phantasia seems really fun too.

Continuation of >>15255881 so spoilers (for real this time I hope).

Well it definitely hurt like hell, as I'm sure anyone who's done it knows why. Moreso because it's not an ending, but an actual story arc you are playing through to conclusion and responsible for, and of course that I actually played through the game instead of just watching it online. I don't know what they were thinking because even though Re;birth 2 isn't exactly a happy story it's still generally upbeat especially mid-game. Even for its own game that ending was out-of-place. Also while the CPUs (even Neptune) deciding to actually war is sort of plausible as with Re;birth 1's intro, I've no idea why all the non-CPU characters were perfectly happy to side with Nepgear through this arc, especially the foreigners like Cave.

Still it wasn't quite as messed up as I was expecting from its reputation. Wasn't all bad either, I was all too happy to see that annoying underling get shanked without remorse. Also the dignified but naked contempt some of the oracles have towards Nepgear is pretty fantastic.

I failed a couple of times at Lowee until I realized that Lastation's CPUs dropped powerful things and that tipped it significantly. Having the extra items will be helpful too if I ever try for a different ending. Vert was not surprisingly, a pushover, even though I forgot to save before her. Solo battling is just extremely disfavourable.

Anyway that certainly clears up why Re;birth 3 makes fun of Nepgear a bunch. The normal ending where she's stranded in alt dimension Gamindustri while Neptune and Plutie laze about instead of helping her return, and the time you totally wipe the floor with turncoat Nepgear and Vert is particularly great. Less great was getting owned by the "Purple Sister?" in one of the dungeons but at least it's fitting.

128 is exactly the size I got for this actually. Only paid 45 maple dollars for it too. Meanwhile a 32gig proprietary card is 90. That's a big part of why I was so convicted to make this work.

Also, I'm actually really fuckin glad to hear that P3D and P5D dont have a story mode. I love the shit out of Persona 3, but if they're gonna create more stories for those characters, it needs to be after FES, not during the events of P3. The fuckers have no respect for their own characters. MC's and Shinji's deaths played an important role in the story and the growth of the others, as with any well done character death. It's always bothered me when writers try to find loopholes to bring a character back just because they're popular. PQ (and it looks like PQ2 as well) flanderizes the shit out of every single character, and the writing is pretty subpar. Arena and Ultimax are a bit better because they actually try to advance the characters slightly, but still flanderize. I cant speak for DAN tho. Regardless, I'm glad they're not dragging more characters into a contrived dance contest or whatever. It's a shame the gameplay's not better tho. I think I would've preferred them trying to emulate the project diva series. Sega owns them now, so it probably wouldnt have been a problem. Oh well.

I specify singlish because, having spent time on ancient singaporean model building forums, the syntax is almost exactly the same, it's just missing all the "la"'s and general slang/ net slang. Ok guys, I just updated to 3.65 and I want to play some utawarerumono: MoD

What's my best option?

I've previously been playing it using a maidump of the japanese version plus english patch plus resolution patch.

I see that there is a nonpdrm US version, but since it's encrypted, I wouldn't be able to apply a resolution patch, right?

So is my best option to download a maidump of the US version and then patch the eboot.bin for resolution? Has this game have any updates that I'd miss out on by using the maidump? (I don't see any patches dumped with maidump) Has anyone already patched the eboot.bin so I won't need to mess with hex editor?

Bullet Girls 2 was not a good game but it is playable, and I liked the ideas they were going for with cute girls shooting each other in silly combat missions, with a good heaping of fanservice.

Hypothetically, if I was to pick this up, do Japanese PSN copies have an English option or is that just the "Asia" version. I doubt this will see proper release in EU/US, certainly not Australia, and importing is a hassle.

Omega Labyrinth Z was developed by Matrix Software and Published by D3 Publisher but that didn't stop Sony US/EU from blocking it.

Devs and publishers do take notice of when hardware makers do stupid shit, they frequently just have no outs other than jumping to a hardware maker that has done dumb shit previously.

Buying physical games gives Sony money because they are the ones who print the cartridges, plus the obligatory fees per game.

If you want to support the developer/publisher buy one of their other games, preferably on another platform/the JP release instead.

That's all but tertiary and a pittance to Sony is it not? The majority of it goes to the devs and publishers doesn't it? Moreover I would want to support the practice of physical releases where I retain control of the game over this PSN bullshit. Sony does a lot of jewish things but printing game cartridges for the Vita isn't one of them, and that's the only thing that this would indirectly "support" as far as I'm aware.

>If you want to support the developer/publisher buy one of their other games, preferably on another platform/the JP release instead.

Most of their games are released on Sony platforms anyways and other platforms are just as jewish (Nintendo, Microsoft). Until you have hard numbers that state otherwise I'm going to presume a cut of 20-30%, similar to Steam as a distribution platform. The carts themselves being printed are most likely a one time fee for printing plus whatever fees they may have to pay for logo usage.

>Moreover I would want to support the practice of physical releases where I retain control of the game over this PSN bullshit.

You would maintain even more control if you just pirated the release and cut Sony out entirely.

There are alternative ways to support your favorite devs/publishers that don't give money to Sony for repeatedly fucking the corpse of a platform they have intentionally destroyed.

>Most of their games are released on Sony platforms anyways and other platforms are just as jewish (Nintendo, Microsoft)

<they frequently just have no outs other than jumping to a hardware maker that has done dumb shit previously.

I covered that, good job reading.

If your goal is to support the developer/publisher you should also buy in a way that gives the least money to the entities you don't like involved with a release.

Currently the entities known to be shit are Sony, Sony US, Sony EU, and any (((localizers))). The ideal would currently be importing a second hand copy from Japan and pirating for your desired platform. Second best is buying new from Japan.

>In terms of the japanese release, that wouldn't be of very much use to me as I can't read nipponese

You aren't buying it to play it, you're buying it to support the devs. If all you wanted was to play the game pirating it would be all you had to do.

>Sony of Japan is jewish if you want to split hairs to this level anyways

You're entirely missing the point if you think the issue is jewishness and "splitting hairs".

Sony Japan didn't stop Omega Labyrinth Z from being published. Sony Japan didn't outright refuse to release most Vita games on gamecarts while the console was still current. Sony Japan didn't fuck up Western releases.

That was all Western faggotry.

Yeah the odds of that happening because of a fan campaign are nearly zero and the odds of it not being PS4 only in the West are even lower. Sony wants everybody to forget the Vita even existed. Western (((localizers))) are more than happy to oblige.

Can you show what Sony's cart manufacturing branch had anything to do with that? If we're breaking down the cost of a physically released game to the point of the small amount going to Sony for it for royalty fees and distribution, we might as well go to the logical conclusion of this whole thing. The only role Sony would have in this case is manufacturing the game cartridges as far as I'm aware, and the meagre pittance going to them is negligible enough for me not to care about such a thing.

You're being exceptionally obtuse. Anyone that was about ground zero regardless of OAG knows just what happened to Omega Labyrinth Z, and the final call was that it was Sony of Europe's QA department that exploited a loophole to get the game cancelled, with Sony of America following up and supporting that decision likewise, costing PQube time, money, and resources for a lovely set of blueballs. And, mind you, this is after the publisher passed both major regional ratings boards (M for the ESRB, 18 for PEGI). UK, Australia, and one other country threw a shitfit and it set back the release by two (three?) months. Then, SoE pulls that QA bullshit and forcefully cancels the release entirely (again, blueballing PQube and all the people that preordered).

You don't believe, just go ask their PR. Bottom line is that this is SoE and SoA's play, not SoJ. What is mere speculation is why they would pull such a move, especially since the game's content is no worse than titles they've already allowed to be published in Europe (Criminal Girls/CG2, Valkyrie Drive). The most-obvious answer at this late stage is politics, unless one of the exec officers at SoE is a cuck-guzzling shithead who hates titties AND loli.

Bottom line: I no longer feel the need to reward either branch with money for titles they have demonstrated the ability to deprive me of access to on short notice for no discernable, logical reason. Fuck both branches, I import and buy used. I'll mail a tip to the dev house if I feel the need to thank them directly.

91741c  No.15285718

>>15284080

>At least for 60$ games according to this source

Decent as a starting point but that doesn't cover digital games since they have no retail cut. Where does the extra $15+$7+$4 on digital goods go? Cutting out the retailer should reduce a game to $34 digitally but they're still $60.

Also if they're saying $4 of each disc is for printing/distribution that means a print run of 10,000 copies costs a dev/publisher somewhere near $40,000 assuming they don't make profit from that cut.

>I'm also wanting a physical, tangible product that I can play out of it (ideally a limited edition so I can get more stuff too)

You could reasonably get a JP limited edition that has more "stuff" and frequently it actually has MORE stuff than the US version and still allows you to play the game.

You could then buy a used copy of a release in whatever language you DO speak meaning you give less money to people you don't like.

>importing also gives money to extremely jewish middlemen even worse than retailers in the U.S.

>I bought an 18$ game on play-asia and I had to pay fucking 12 dollars for the shittiest and cheapest shipping option

Your biggest issues there are assuming importing is cheap and using play-asia. If you want to avoid play-asia and the like there are other services that allow you to ship to a JP address and they will reship to you.

Still more expensive than buying domestic releases but you have to choose how much you value principles over money.

>if it were only just about supporting the devs I could just find a way to donate money to them or something like that

Stop using the term "donation" when referring to supporting businesses. It's retarded. You're buying their product, not funding their street art.

>Can you show what Sony's cart manufacturing branch had anything to do with that?

Good thing I didn't say "give no money to Sony" and instead said "give the least amount of money you can to Sony and their branches".

Sony's cart manufacturing branch is, surprisingly, owned by Sony.

Importing a game from JP still shows that the game does have a market but that, for some reason, you are importing the game. Strangely enough, some companies care about the why.

What importing does not do is provide money to ports that may be shitty or give money to the earlier mentioned groups that are outright censoring video games they don't like. Sony EU/US, etc

>The only role Sony would have in this case is manufacturing the game cartridges as far as I'm aware, and the meagre pittance going to them is negligible enough for me not to care about such a thing.

You literally just linked a slide showing that Sony makes at least $11 from each physical game sold. They are considered the platform holder and they print games. Getting at least 1/6th of a game's price isn't exactly a pittance.

>Atlus is also still releasing games for the 3DS which is pretty much as dead in the water as the Vita thanks to the Switch; I'd say there's still a chance if games are still being released on retail for it

The difference is the 3DS had a successful run and had full support by Nintendo the entire time, it's only "dead" because Nintendo released its successor.

The Vita has been on life support in the West since launch.

I'd say the only chance it has coming West is digital only because the number of people that care about physical media has been going down for over twenty years and the Vita is even more niche than that.

>digital goods

That's not anything to do with what I'm talking about anon. I would assume more goes to Sony and the developers/publishers respectively (ironically enough) but digital distribution isn't something I would like to support. I consider it a bad practice, at least with the case of Sony having utter control over the PSN.

Anyways those numbers are rough standard numbers, as its stated in the article most of those numbers (in terms of expenses and payments out to platform owners and whatnot) can be brought down by cautious and calculated distribution, negotiating (such as exclusivity deals and/or publisher relationships with the platform owner), and so on.

>You could reasonably get a JP limited edition that has more "stuff" and frequently it actually has MORE stuff than the US version and still allows you to play the game.

You're right about the "more stuff" part, which would make it more worth than the U.S. edition but money is a limited resource and I would have to buy it new to support the developers. Not only that but while I can technically "play it", I wouldn't be able to understand any of the language or anything.

>Still more expensive than buying domestic releases but you have to choose how much you value principles over money.

You make a point there, but I'm not fucking rich. In terms of my principles versus the amount of money I would spend, if its too expensive and the other option is cheap but goes against my principles, I would choose neither. One thing most people do not think about when they buy physical games is how much money goes to Sony because its just not a thing most people think about for 3rd party games. I am one of those people to an extent. I don't have a problem with Sony of America manufacturing game cartridges whatsoever (in fact, that's one thing I would support heavily), and I don't have a problem with them allowing 13 Sentinels to be released. I have a problem with a recent example of censorship and some general jewry, which is largely unrelated to their manufacturing branch, and the money they get for existing as a platform is such a "passive" sort of thing that it barely goes under my radar. Assuming it is 15% distribution and royalties, I consider that to be small enough of a (partial) loss to not matter in the grand scheme of things.

I suppose what I'm saying is that it feels incredibly frustrating that I should be expected to pay (sometimes exponentially) more to import a game just so that that rough 15% goes to Sony of Japan instead, while the extra money I end up paying for goes to middlemen (who can upcharge incredibly), more hand changes, and really shitty shipping companies. I would be wasting much more money to avoid giving a fraction of the payment to one branch of the same overarching company.

>What importing does not do is provide money to ports that may be shitty or give money to the earlier mentioned groups that are outright censoring video games they don't like. Sony EU/US, etc.

I just doubt and can't imagine that the amount of money that Sony would get from me buying a physical copy of a vanillaware game published by Atlus would go directly into the CEO of Sony America or the censure's pockets, is the thing

>I'd say the only chance it has coming West is digital only because the number of people that care about physical media has been going down for over twenty years and the Vita is even more niche than that.

>money is a limited resource and I would have to buy it new to support the developers. Not only that but while I can technically "play it", I wouldn't be able to understand any of the language or anything.

Yes but you'd have to buy a US collector's edition new as well to support the developers. You also seem tied to the idea that you can't buy a game and then pirate it. You can and should do that, if possible.

It's the same game with the added benefit of having less ties to DRM and whoever else you don't like.

>I suppose what I'm saying is that it feels incredibly frustrating that I should be expected to pay (sometimes exponentially) more to import a game just so that that rough 15% goes to Sony of Japan instead

I understand your frustration but it isn't just money going to Sony Japan. It's also a copy that denies any potentially shitty localization efforts any money from the game while still supporting the developers.

While I feel I am probably in a minority that is worth up to 50% more if I particularly dislike somebody involved with a release that I want to play.

>the extra money I end up paying for goes to middlemen (who can upcharge incredibly), more hand changes, and really shitty shipping companies.

I get what you're saying. Any nonprofitable alternative would require a whole lot of international cooperation between citizens of Japan and other countries and I doubt any Japanese people care enough about foreigners to do something like that unless they're making a shitload of money.

>I just doubt and can't imagine that the amount of money that Sony would get from me buying a physical copy of a vanillaware game published by Atlus would go directly into the CEO of Sony America or the censure's pockets

The Vita emulates anything the PSP can emulate with certain Vita specific emulators that are slightly better or sidegrades due to having access to the Vita hardware. It also has decent PS1 emulation support through its PSP emulator/Retroarch.

In terms of games there were several charts attempted to be made but a lot ended up being abandoned

The one in the OP isn't perfect but it can give you an idea of where to look; I'll recommend specific ones lwter

its a pretty good game, actually makes use of the tactile screen before its a quick way to aim a critical special move in the heat of battle accurately. There are many weapons and classes that supports quite a wide range of playstyles and the skill system allows for a custom built character thats not tied to item progression.

What I really liked the most is the story, its long and nice without being too complex or convoluted and the characters are nicely fleshed out and honestly likeable, I wasnt expecting that from a monster hunter clone type game.

The library thing really goes without saying but it's more than just that. I just feel trapped if I have to use the thing in the way that I'm expected to. With how everyone locks their consoles down, it feels like I'm a prisoner on my own device. Back when PS3 was still new, things were more or less fine but it's gotten progressively worse over its lifetime. And now it's the fucking worst.

>I imagine it wouldn't take long to hack it

That's basically left up to random chance and whether hackers are able to stumble upon an exploit quickly or not. I am quiet satisfied with the Vita, it has some really nice games. Who knows if a new and upcoming handheld would be able to compete in the current climate.

40f7d2  No.15319497

>With how everyone locks their consoles down, it feels like I'm a prisoner on my own device.

This is true. Companies are trying to decrease customer power. Some people say the future is cloud-streaming vidya boxes and I hope to god that doesn't come true. However given enough time any hardware can be hacked and made into something good

I remember some fags saying a 3.65 hack would take 7+ years and now look at the state of the vita. Even though its approaching death as a handheld sadly (in terms of number of games being released), the amount of things and games you can play on it increases daily.

>Who knows if a new and upcoming handheld would be able to compete in the current climate.

The market is wide open to be honest. Both the Vita and 3DS are winding down and the Switch is a portable console (not a handheld) at such a high price point that much of the handheld market is reluctant to move to it. Its mainly the console market eating it up right now. If someone put out a good handheld for 110-170$ they would be able to take the market by storm assuming they have good games on launch and the company in question keeps up their support for it consistently.

It was hyperbole meant to mean

Seeing as the Vita had been out for nearly give years at that point and they were the only consumer usable jailbreak it wasn't that far outside the realm of possibility.

Even before that the PSM hack that was done was done by one of the people behind the 3.60 exploit.

>Sadly, I expect that the majority will lap that up as they already do with mobage games that already impose the always-online limitation on top of all their other sins

There will always be a kind of counter-culture to this. The so called niche market where developers and publishers specialize on releasing games that are explicitly not only streaming/always-online crap. I think only the mainstream will have to suffer that. And I mean this in the sense that the market niche will be rather big if everything mainstream starts jumping ship to streaming services.

>How bad does it run?

First two stages without overclocking would go down to around 15FPS but were alright with max clocks. Then a couple stages later, even with overclock it would slow down considerably. The game seems to have everything tied down to FPS so it slows down accordingly. So it's a complete shitshow but still playable since it does not drop inputs that way.

>Being able to screenshot with no watermarks & png quality in whatever game without restrictions

I haven't been using that because it's too slow but it's amazing how you can do this on a hacked PS3 just fine and yet Sony never saw any reason to add a vanilla screenshot function to it.

I just beat it on hard and am now at the point where its mostly just grinding for levels and farming for underwear. I've enjoyed it so far as it plays a lot like playing Ranger in PSO with a few little improvements and substantially more enemies. My only major complaints are with the long load times for something so simple, and finding underwear in your collection with the abilities you want is a pain in the ass. Though it would greatly reduce the amount of farming, I think they should have just let you add any ability you own to your underwear so you can pick whatever you like most instead of trying to find that one piece in a box of lego. Also of note is how insanely strong shotguns are compared to everything else. As someone who loves shotguns, I have no problem with this, but it is kind of disappointing to have all these weapons and end up just using launcher, shotgun, stinger through the entire game.

My initial impression of the game itself is not good but I'll be trying it more later tonight. Primarily, even though the movement system is basically the same as BG2, it doesn't feel fluid because of the bad performance even with vsh. Everything looks grainy too. Still prefer shooting the clothes off cute girls too but I expect there will be some opportunities for that even if monster killing is the main thing. Yup. Also I did try to boing boing enemy girls but it either had no effect or I wasn't touching them right and it didn't register. It can be a bit tough to try not to die and do that at the same time.

I don't know about BG2 but GGP has a nude mod, as in giving the girls nipples and vag. I thought it looked like shit. https://youtu.be/VnTWeHZA-5s

>I wish they'd divert some attention to making the games play well

I think it's less a case of them not wanting to divert attention as them wanting to keep the game simple. I heard people say it's really short and has next to no replayability, so maybe that's something they should have focused on as well. I do enjoy how they embrace the lewd but I also like the general cuteness of it all. It's a perfect mix of both and this is just what I need right now. Also elves.

>I hear it does not play nice with Wine either.

Well I wouldn't object to running a FOSS program in Wine but nowadays I don't even install Wine. It's easy enough to install games with pkg_dec. The compatibility packs are just extractable to the game's rePatch directory as expected. DLC can be left to pkgj since it's usually small. I will get around to documenting these new things some time I swear.

>Also I did try to boing boing enemy girls but it either had no effect or I wasn't touching them right and it didn't register.

It's intended for stealth sections as a way to distract enemies, so probably doesn't work if they've noticed you. You can also touch girls in GGDP to stop them temporarily, but that's also doable with pheromone shot so less useful.

>GGP has a nude mod

Found it. It'd be tolerable if there weren't so many graphical issues, mostly, that they couldn't entirely remove the clothing or censoring under the light flares so you see outlines of it. Not a fan of large nipples either. I'd prefer a simple decensor like BGPs. That lets you fully enjoy their curves and sexy hidden band-aids.

I really really love this game's posing and freecam mode it's so good.

>keep the game simple.

I'm totally down with simple gameplay. Not brain-dead AI (hoping that much is improved in BGP) or lousy porting. I mean look at the earlier screenshot with the blurry icons and aliasing and compare it to the generally simplistic but clean BG2 screen.

>Not brain-dead AI

Since I didn't play the other BG games I don't know how it compares but the AI is pretty damn stupid. Running/getting stuck in walls, etc.

>aliasing

Yeah, this was made for the vita only as an afterthought. Just check out some PS4 screenshots and how clean it looks there. Also it seems like they downgraded the sound engine on Vita as well, PS4 has effects like reverb and room acoustics which seems to be absent from the Vita (source: me, I'm autistic about audio related stuff). If they have to go so far as to downgrade sound processing it means the game really can barely run on this thing at all.

No I was speaking of BG2 where you have a few (terrible) stealth missions. Why are you trying to feel up monsters.

>Fug, I only played this on PC.

Don't worry you aren't missing anything. That's another game with a lackluster Vita port. oclockvita/vsh will make a big difference but it'll still have framerate problems, and the load times approach Sonic 2006 levels.

>It's like they wanted someone to mod the game.

They ultimately need to ensure no pink bits, but I suspect the devs wanted to do something other than barbie-doll figures. Akiba's Trip 2 also has band-aids under the sparkles. That only has a de-censor patch for the PC version though.

>Maybe I should get GGP next

I don't advise it. It gets the lewd right but the rest is pretty terrible and awkward, and definitely not worth the full game pricing. There's also a lot of cutscenes, to the extent that it's a game you can fast-forward through them and it still feels like it's taking forever to get to a mission. Definitely one to pirate first and see how you feel about it.

>Yeah, this was made for the vita only as an afterthought

I actually wish I wasn't just imagining it about a Switch version, because it's about the only sane option for a budget dev. Vita is end-of-life, and full home consoles are wasted on them, and it shows with how compromised the Vita version ended up as a result of targeting the PS4.

>I should've used the HB for lossless screenshots earlier.

Do it. The only downside is screenshots cannot be done in quick succession, you have to wait a couple seconds. Also I guess I get lazy and upload low-res things approaching a full megabyte but whatever.

>I believe the earlier games didn't have something like this.

No they don't. But I won't deny that jump-kicking enemies in the face is fun as hell in BG2. You can also stun-lock most enemies with the standing melee.

>I like having a general how-to for these threads to chase away easy questions

Alright, I literally got nothing better to do. So for windows it goes like this:

>you know how to install NoNpDRM games

>download latest version of repatch (2.71)

>follow github instructions to install it

>download latest NPS browser, nopaystation.com NPS Database sheet for install instructions

>download game

>right click game -> download comp pack -> choose your game version (latest because why wouldn't you update it?)

>dump all files (app, repatch, addcont) on root of ux0 while having hidden files and hidden system files set to visible in windows

>there's also readdcont for unlocking on disc DLC but you won't get them off NPS

>refresh live area in vitashell

>open the bubble, install latest update if available

>play game

Made it way more wordy than needed but this should work.

>Why are you trying to feel up monsters.

No, no. I was trying to touch Silvia when she appeared as a boss. You still get to fight other girls in this. Okay, I did try it on the orcs

>There's also a lot of cutscenes

Ah, that's kind of a deal-breaker for me. I like to get to the game parts asap unless I'm actually there for the story.

>That only has a de-censor patch for the PC version though

Should be easy enough to port that to the Vita now, maybe someone will do it

>Do it

Already did, see last post.

>Jump kick, standing melee

Those are both in BGP. Pretty fun to use indeed. You can also do an evade dive while shooting, kinda like max payne, but the slow motion effect is the game slowing down due to too many enemies.

I forgot they were retarded as well. There aren't too many missions where you fight girls and, as mentioned before, I mostly used rockets and shotguns which nearly instantly defeated them. Only on one mission did I get to see them go retarded and that was flat brown elf's extra mission before she officially joined the party, so had to use basic low level weapons.

I know this is kickstarter so backers have nearly negative recourse in seeking their money back but I can't help but wonder if they knew this might happen when they originally offered it for Vita.

If it was just an issue of physical games being discontinued they could have offered Vita digital+a physical on some other platform but they just got rid of the Vita version entirely.

The fact that they are no longer offering it at all may mean something slightly worse, like Sony not allowing new Vita games in the PSN store prior to their new projected launch date.

40f7d2  No.15329861

>>15329852

Sony are extremely greedy kikes but I expect the PSN to stay up for several more years with games continuing to be released on it (though at a much slower rate in 2019 and onwards) because

>they have complete control over it

>they get more money out of it

>its low cost to keep it up

>it requires barely any maintenance or effort on their part

I'm willing to bet them not releasing on the Vita more has to do with them wanting to cut costs or not put forth the time or effort, honestly.

91741c  No.15329947

>>15329861

I don't think they would outright take the Vita store entirely offline but they could easily just not allow new games to be released on the platform.

What's stopping them from telling people through devnet, with some sort of NDA attached, that they will not be adding new Vita games after x date?

>they get more money out of it

>its low cost to keep it up

>it requires barely any maintenance or effort on their part

You're forgetting how petty Sony really is. Both of their portables were attempts to push competing hardware standards rather than an actual attempt at a competing handheld.

They've been trying to kill the Vita since its release and it looks like ending physical cart production, regardless of how many were actually released physically worldwide, has finally pushed enough devs away that they can "safely" end the Vita store in a few years due to disuse.

>I'm willing to bet them not releasing on the Vita more has to do with them wanting to cut costs or not put forth the time or effort

That was the question I'm asking.

If they originally had plans to release on the Vita and the issue was development time not allowing physical copies I don't think most publishers would just cancel it outright unless they were already looking for an out.

I want to know if they knew they might not be able or want to make the Vita release before they announced the crowdfunding where they took people's money with promises of a Vita release.

>What's stopping them from telling people through devnet, with some sort of NDA attached, that they will not be adding new Vita games after x date?

The question remains as to why would they? There are no real reasons for them to do this for the entirety of 2018-19. Anything Vita related takes up barely any bandwidth and space in terms of server size (compounded by the fact that Vita games can only be 4 GB max). They've already announced the Vita's death physically, digitally they can just leave the corpse up to collect some cash for basically nothing.

Again though, digital releases should still be fine through 2019 at the very least. There's no real reason for Sony to care about this release whatsoever

>I want to know if they knew they might not be able or want to make the Vita release before they announced the crowdfunding where they took people's money with promises of a Vita release.

Most of the crowdfunding was years ago (they blasted past the Vita stretch goal of 3.5 million, getting 5.5 fucking million) , I don't think they could've anticipated this whole situation arising (well, maybe if they were managed better, but I digress).

This however, should answer your question to some extent.

https://archive.fo/I1kzV

That was months ago, and now they say they can't even release digitally? Moreover that was also tweeted before the deadline for physical carts being ordered as well; they still could've gotten the manufacturing and whatnot done, no problem.

I just have doubts Sony is the primary reason behind this one. Their actions might've deterred them, sure but I sincerely doubt that they are going to block/stop new games from being released digitally on the PSN for Vita at least until the absolute end of 2019 (which would still be shockingly quick, since carts are only ending in March/April of that year anyway)

>The question remains as to why would they? There are no real reasons for them to do this for the entirety of 2018-19.

Presumably because they still have some form of contractual obligations as long as the hardware and it's storefront are considered to be in "active" support. That takes work hours and time away from other shit.

>Anything Vita related takes up barely any bandwidth and space in terms of server size (compounded by the fact that Vita games can only be 4 GB max). They've already announced the Vita's death physically, digitally they can just leave the corpse up to collect some cash for basically nothing.

It may seem like it isn't a huge investment but they're essentially required to maintain legacy infrastructure/store access for as long as the Vita storefront is active.

>Eh? I'm not sure what you mean by this

Both the PSP and the Vita although probably to a lesser extent with the Vita used formats that were supposed to compete with SD cards, both for licensing and control reasons.

Considering both consoles sold a respectable number of units and Sony still dropped support for them in the West I suspect they didn't care much about the consoles in regards to branching out into other hardware so much as they were trying to showcase a competing standard to pull people away from SD cards.

>Again though, digital releases should still be fine through 2019 at the very least. There's no real reason for Sony to care about this release whatsoever

I understand what you're saying however you can most likely visibly observe how rapidly releases began to drop when Sony announced the end of physical cartridges.

As much as corporations would like to claim for reasons of control, cheap storage, etc physical media is not dying for a rather specific die-hard demographic. That specific demographic probably also heavily overlapped with buyers of Vita games.

>This however, should answer your question to some extent.

I guess it's great that Vita support wasn't offered with intent to backtrack.

However, canceling the Vita release because they fell behind a few months seems off, like something not mentioned was included in their decision. I'm interested in knowing what caused them to cancel the Vita entirely rather than just say "digital only".

You can fast-forward them but they're long anyway since animations (read: Compile Heart CG jiggle physics) aren't skipped, like the Neptunia games but more annoying. The game itself is fairly short too without much variation. Mostly you have to either navigate the room looking for points of interest while avoiding detection, kill squids, shoot the girl in the room, and one or two other things. The platforming side of it is fraught with danger due to the awkward controls and camera, narrow ledges, and that falling too far is instant death. The enemies are non-threats (thankfully you can stomp them if they're shielding which that one video review didn't notice), and so are the main bosses except the last one.

>You can also do an evade dive while shooting

Same in BG2. They didn't change a lot about how the girls work. The force-strip command like Senran Kagura is a new one though and they seem to have changed the supers too.

I believe all the Camelot games on GBA were known as being rather difficult to emulate but I'm not positive.

I also recall them being fixed on PC emulators but I wasn't aware of their status on Vita as, last I checked, the PSP GBA emulator didn't like it too much. I presumed the Vita GBA emulator would have similar issues.

Played a bit of Chasm, and that was enough. That game is dreary and dull, and suffers immensely from comparison to the real Metroidvanias with its lacking monster and equipment variety, and especially Terraria for how much better that does world exploration and upgrades, so I've returned to that in between random Nip stuff.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1CAwGxAGNnM0j308zkRwsLyVaVG3bXePQ

The Gun Gun Pixies mod got updated too to no longer have bad graphical glitches, though their lower halves are still terrible. Also de-censors your character in bath time and includes DLC unlocks though there's absolutely nothing of note in there except early Neps. It also translates some of the menu options and tutorials, though I do not expect a full translation patch for it with how dialogue-heavy it is, and you know, being bad.

Also how's Freedom Wars, and the Ratchet & Clank Trilogy? The latter series I've been interested in for a while but I don't necessarily trust ports. The one for Jak & Daxter is pretty flawed.

>>15359793

I wouldn't use Vita for GBA. mGBA has never run well. VBANext sometimes works but most games have at least some slowdown, and I only use it for Pokémon/Touhoumon, and that's with audio off since it's not quite full speed. If GBA is of interest you'd be better off with 3DS.

>>15355777

Gau can become one of the strongest characters with some work. His gimmick is learning moves by spending time with enemies in that one map area, and some of the moves you can get are ridiculously powerful early game, and still decent even late. Check GameFAQs or something if you want to know the full details of him.

Thought this would be relevant to post here because of these sections in the interview

Jewgle-translated:

>If Ys VIII makes a good performance, is it possible that you plan to make the Switch your main console to launch your games?

TK: It will depend on the success of Ys VIII. For the moment, in Japan, we mainly launch our games on PlayStation consoles and it's going very well. So, rather than completely change, we want to balance things.

>What made you decide to wear Ys VIII on Nintendo Switch? Was the nomad aspect of the console a good argument for you? Knowing that between 2005 and 2016, most of the games were on portable consoles.

TK: Just when it was thought that the Switch would be an interesting platform in terms of development, NIS America approached us to propose to wear Ys VIII on Nintendo Switch. We had not released a game on a Nintendo console since a lease, so it was an excellent opportunity. As you implicitly mention, the number of games dedicated to portable consoles is declining so this desire was also present.

>>15373961

I think your 0.2.97.39 is a non-merged version. There is a readme included in a non-merged copy of 0.2.97.39 I found, it states the following

>Using a Non-Merged set means that every .zip in this collection is a complete ROM that can be used stand-alone even if it is considered a "clone".

>Typically clones feature a different language or updates to the game software. Some clones are "bootleg" versions of a ROM – for example bootlegs that remove encryption that which makes the "parent" ROM unplayable. For these and other reasons, clones are sometimes the preferred version of a ROM.

>"Merged" and "Split" sets save drive space by consolidating the parts of the clone game that are identical to its parent into a more sophisticated zip container.

>The only benefit is saved space. On the other hand, not all emulators support Merged and Split sets. Those set formats are also more challenging to use to manually copy individual ROMs for use with an emulator rather than using the whole set.

>Non-Merged – such as this set – arranges all games, parents and clones, in their own stand-alone .zip files with all of the files needed to run the game.

I believe that is most likely the reason between the sizes.

Just confirmed copying the entire SD card over works, even for legitimate games, the one I tested anyway. Surprisingly I'm only using about 126GB for real. The free space count on the old SD was waaaay off in the system, so hopefully I set the right size for the new SD. I think it's this but the man page doesn't clarify how to word cluster size. If it's right I'll properly document it. By default it'll set -s based on the total storage though. At least my Vita's easier to open now I've done it a couple of times. It's the one sucky part about PSVSD.

# mkfs.exfat -n LABEL -s 64K /dev/sdX

Game-wise, I already have some regret for starting V3 because (actual spoilers of course, not just to V3 either) it immediately starts out with them forced to kill by the mastermind, which is the one thing I hated about the otherwise stellar hospital and fun house cases in 2. And then it proceeds to throw the cute main girl under the bus so some drab hat kid can take over. This is one thing I wish I hadn't found out about before deciding to play it. On a technical level I am really really bothered by the bit-starved video and certain graphics, and that apparently the voice quality is also starved by default because of squeezing in twice the voice clips into a limited space (good fucking luck getting the HQ ones if it's out-of-region and you aren't doing the sensible thing to your Vita). On a positive note, the general movement and locations feel better, some of the new case mechanics are neat, and cosplay girl is cute. I will at the very least be following this supposed trainwreck through to the end like other bad games. I doubt it'll get a second playthrough though. Even the other 3 games managed that to me and that should tell you something.

I've only finished chapter 1 of that. I'm also giving DR1 a new play, and DR2's NG+ to catch some extra events I missed.

The white sd2vita (a latter model) fit better inside the Slim but I do remember it was a bitch to get the sd out from that adapter.

In terms of durability, they seem fine at a first stance, but considering my experience with the memory duo adapters back with the PSP, I'd advise to not manipulate them too much.

Well you shouldn't be messing with an SD2Vita anyway because they aren't designed for hot-swapping. At least it's possible to copy most cartridge games over to SD.

Well 1 and 2 are games I've played once or twice already, so yes? UDG as well though I don't recommend it. V3 is proving kind of meh, just finished chapter 2. Nooooo, maid.

I'm pretty sure that failed when I tried to do it with Touch My Katamari, which is one of the few games that has a writable cartridge, and it's used for save data. It's possible I did it wrong. Also sub "most" for "almost all" since carts with writable partition are quite few.

I've had no luck with getting it to work. Either my adapter is faulty, or I formatted the card wrong. I followed the guide, though. Has anyone had a problem with the 2.0 SD2Vita? It's the one that isn't in a plastic case and has the smiley face on the back. My vita won't read it. When I remove the adapter and boot up, my Vita will give me the "There was a problem loading: 3" error. With the SD2Vita in the system, it just stays frozen at the enso screen. Windows and Ubuntu can read my Micro SD, and the content are all there. Not sure what the deal is.

99% sure it's a busted adapter, or not seated properly. I think those old PCB adapters were really iffy when it came to making proper contact. Just one or two of the newer ones.

Wait, isn't that from the lolicon plugin? Did you use autoplugin to install shit without learning how everything works or what it even does? Do I have to explain to you why that's retarded?

Meh. I have one because i couldn't find any other l2 r2 grips for my vita 1000 and i found it relatively cheap. While the grip feels cheap, the vita feels very "secured" in it, so pushing buttons and the l2/r2 triggers are ok. You won't feel it wobble all over the place. Since it also covers the front plate, the cover is on the same level of the buttons, making them cave in under your thumb. It'll feel awkard at first but you'll get use to it. Same for the bulky feeling when you have it in your hands: Personally i like it, but you might feel different about it. The l2 and r2 are actioned through simple springs, looks and feels kinda cheap at first glance, but do their work fine, never had a problem until now.

>tl;dr

If easily reachable buttons are a huge deal, and you don't plan on playing ps1 games, you might want to keep looking around.

If you don't care, like the sturdiness feeling in your hand, and need those extra buttons, sure.

By having self control and not giving into instant gratification.

>Also this makes me want to get a PSTV because that looks so much better on your laptop screen

* I applied a hack to make the 3d scenes output at vita native resolution. So that might be why it looks better?

* Instead of a pstv that stays hooked up to the tv, I can unplug and take the vita with me when I want to play on the couch

* I actually play with a ps3 controller to reduce hand cramp

Downside:

* even though the psv is outputting to my laptop through usb, I still need it visible when I do chain actions because the usb video has huge input lag (and also lower fps)

It should not. That has been patched a while ago. If you're asking me to confirm whether the plugin worked, it did without a shadow of a doubt. Vita shows up as a webcam device in windows but it's inactive, everything is working like it should except for the fact that it can't be accessed.

Into the guide this is going, eventually. I mean, a proper hardware-based one like the 3DS got would be ideal for streaming, or a PSTV for most games, but for what it is it's amazing. Depends strongly on the game though, I found Akiba's Trip 2 to suffer terribly in terms of input and stuttery movement. For a typical RPG or VN it won't really matter. There is a noticeable latency between system and PC regardless of what's recorded.

I've only had experience with moe chronicle (dropped due to shitty writing) and persona 3 (dropped because evolving my persona is a pain) though.

I'll just focus on ut3 for now.

Hack guide (and older ones) finally moved over to Git so it can be updated independently of the thread. Haven't touched the actual contents since 8.0 except for Pastebin-isms. My intention soon-ish is to add:

- Better info about NPS Browser

- Compatibility pack stuff

- Streaming plugin

- 64K sector formatting on *nix

Anything else? OP's link should be changed to either of the following.

https://gitgud.io/8vitagen/hackpaste/raw/master/pastebin/paste.txt

The latter is a lot less cluttered but doesn't have any info about last updates since it's bad practice to insert dates into a tracked file. I'll leave it up to the OP which to use.

Honestly it kind of sounds like you might not like dungeon crawlers/jRPGs. The entire point is that you have to balance exploration against resource usage.

It sounds like you're "playing it for the story" if you're autoing through fights. If you're getting bored you should turn up the difficulty instead of autoing through the "tedious" fights, so that they require thought, or just play a VN.

>>15436673

It's not difficult for them to do, all they have to change is the authentication token and they've done so previously.

What tends to happen is there is a week or so period before they "flip the switch" where you can still access the store. After that you'll get the update nag.
