No, we're not talking about overlooked gems or cult classics.
We're talking about shovelware so obscure there's barely any info on it.
I remember buying Stealth Force The War on Terror at a whim for 20 eurobucks expecting something close to Conflict Desert Storm or Full Spectrum Warrior.
Instead I bought what is probably the shittiest FPS in existence, no joke, no hyperbole, this game isn't solid, it has no visible game design and it's broken as all hell.

I already posted Ergheiz in the previous thread, so here comes another : it was an early playstation 1 game, and a really good one. This fucking game holy shit. 9 years old me just wanted an action game where you blow things up, and he got geopolitics, adaptative gameplay, and balls to the walls difficulty.

It's not too bad if you get it for like less than 10 dollars, in fact I enjoyed it as a kid. As for the genre goes it's mostly a puzzle game, think something like silent hill/resident evil but without the real time action, you can expect to get stuck very often as there is very little direction as to what you have to do to progress. There IS combat but it's turn based with AP to use your attacks, and quick time events with NO button prompts on screen and no mention of what you have to do to evade incoming attacks. there's also a two minigames one of which is hacking and appears in several parts of the game and it's gonna make you want to rip your hair out and toss the game straight in the trash. overall, I'd say it's solid but don't expect anything spectacular so only get it if you can find it for cheap as fuck also because it has 0 replayability value.

Apparently this was a launch title and it was ass, it plays like a shitty dynasty warriors and the english dub is awkward as fuck, but it's a really easy 1000G just beat the game, grind all your characters to max level in mission 4 and then go back to beat the two extra chapters that open up after you beat the game, the whole game can be beaten in 8 hours and it only has 12 trophies, so if you really want you can get all the trophies in a day, i've never heard anyone mention this title even in obscure vidya/exclusives threads, hell i wasn't even aware of its existence until i saw it in person.

Here's the second game I ever bought (for 3.75$ in 25 cents in a plastic bag because the woman selling it thought I was cute, bartered it for that much from a 10$ price), Theocracy is basically a primitive total war where you do a grand campaign to control the whole of central america and end up defending it from the spanish conquistadors. You get priests of different spheres of magic that have really strong spells to destroy your ennemies (althought getting their pyramids through building them takes lots of jewels or conquering the territories where they are situated), building stuff in your provinces is done in a RTS mode aswell as defending or attacking other territories, there's also quests that you can do in certain special places.
The biggest shame was that there was no level editor because the sprites and everything was fucking amazing, I wish it would've beat age of empire in term of sucess but being an early ubisoft game really stunted its potential for modding and getting a sequel. Its got top notch art style and its very atmospheric, would recommend pirating it since its hard to come by a physical copy of it.

Not sure if people played this one or not but nobody ever talks about it so I can't say. It was weird. As a kid I watched the CGI series this was based off of but the game features no characters at all, just the cars, and while all the cars had special abilities in the show, in the game you just drive. that's it. Also the theme song is performed by Smash Mouth.

Every character has a moment where they drop to the ground, look up at the sky, and cry "nooooooooo" over a loved one's body. Hilariously even the troll that gets unlocked for two missions has a bellowing REEEEEE at the sky when his goblin handler dies

It wasn't bad, but it had that video game spinoff feel. True to form she dies in every mission.
It's one of those games that you really want to be more fun, and you can enjoy the one afternoon it takes to beat it, but you never play again because it was so shallow

I've never seen anyone mention this game online, presumably because it had a limited release and was considered a piece of shit by most reviewers. It's an early 3D RTS (2001?) with some wacky unit designs and quite hideous comic book artstyling. I can't remember anything more specific about the gameplay besides it being very bad at explaining itself. What's interesting about it is that it was the first game by the studio who would go on to make R.U.S.E and Wargame.

It was pretty okay, there were always at least two paths to objective and managing all 4 team members each specialized in different role felt satisfactory. Ambushes not always worked since enemies rarely moved around, and breaking from behind spraying them in the back was predefined "stealth" route. It had some input lag though, shots not always landed on targets despite painting enemies uniforms red, and some missions were dead simple. AI barely existed and shooting someone in desolate canyon miles away from guard post was the quicker way to get everyone alert. Not like alert really meant anything in this game. I remember strange save limit on PC, so field for experiments and goofing around with enemies then quickloading wasn't an option. And whole game was getting repetitive very quickly.
About stealth - broken as fuck - but when you managed to stab someone from behind without alerting rest of the camp, or even figured out how to make stealth kills in a row with well placed team members - it was like inventing new gameplay mechanic. But mostly, you were just shooting at things and running to the choppa. The reason I talk about stealth is, this game reminded me how would early, more clunky and experimental MGS V look like. Hell - it even had vehicles, there was whole training section dedicated driving a hummer from point A to point B, sadly in-game vehicles aren't available for use. Who knows why.

There is another game from one of those websites that allows you to play the full game for an hour and you could then purchase it if you liked it. I cannot remember the name of it, but it was like a rudimentary 3D World War 2 plane game. It had a secret Pearl Harbor level where you protect Pearl Harbor with a UFO. Never heard anyone else talk about this game. It was a Virtua Fighter clone with minigames and Final Fantasy characters, but for some reason the devs added on a dungeon crawler RPG as well called The Forsaken Dungeon. An entire second game was there to play, and it was much more fun than the fighter could ever hope to be.

Metal Arms is one of the most beloved games I've played, honestly. A lot of people liked Halo around this time, but they really missed on something even more special. At least it emulates really smooth on my PC.

Extreme Sports on Dreamcast (Xtreme Sports in America). You do racing with switching from bikes to snowboards and other x-treeeeme things while on the same course, and get boost power by doing tricks, and can also punch opponents. The graphics engine was based on something for flight simulators I think, with geometry LOD morphing that was so obnoxious and in-your-face it felt like an LSD simulator in places. You can easily miss the spot where you are supposed to switch your mode of locomotion and continue with the wrong one. A race is over in a few minutes, but I suppose the landscape is based on some fractal math shit and they could have easily done gigantic levels, because in practice mode you can get out of the proper game area and it just goes on and on and on…
