It's amazing how the Sonic hacking scene evolved.
I remember the times when just seeing a good layout/sprite/music hack was something to be amazed by.
Nowadays, you can do pretty much anything.
…Which is why it all became so uninteresting to me. I loved to imagine what would be like if they expanded the universe on the Megadrive, if they continued making games after Sonic 3 to infinity, and that's why I loved hacking. But I also loved the certain limitations, because when you see something take those limits to their breaking point, it really takes you by surprise and takes your breath away. And when you can do anything—what's the point?
