I bought a small CRT that sits on my desk along with both of my monitors. Either get a good monitor and just use some leftover TV for the rest of your shit or deal with using a garbage TV as your monitor. Anything that carries component or composite cables is going to have garbage color reproduction, terrible response time and bad pixel density when compared to even the 100 dollar monitor you could of bought. Just invest in a nice monitor with hdmi and get a component to hdmi converter somewhere down the line if you don't want to get a CRT or just use a separate TV.
