One day I will finish Precursors, but I heard the game falls off hard after the first few worlds.

Nothing wrong here actually. The origin of Daxter's transformation into one was well thought out (eco contains precursor DNA and dark eco is mutative) and leads to an ironic punishment for Veger, and there's nothing wrong with a pay-no-attention-to-the-man-behind-the-curtain twist.

The only thing that doesn't make sense in Jak 3 is cucking Torn just because they couldn't get Anna Garduno back to play Keira in time for recording

Me too, all three of them were fantastic, but Jak II and III gave such an awesome change of gameplay while sticking to the original well enough. I can't wait to get my new laptop, been dying to play these games again.

At least in Jak X they realize that downplaying Kiera just because of the voice actor was stupid, so they back off on that and everything is back to normal.

I remember the Jak boards on Gamefaqs being much more confused about when Ashelin says "Wait, Jak is Mar? Like, THE Mar?" Up until that point it's not at all implied that he's THE Mar, but the game has a few other points where it feels like Naughty Dog ran out of time and cut whole story sections without properly editing out loose ends like that. Jak being THE Mar would make sense for a series with heavy emphasis on time travel, but we never get to see it expanded upon. The Lost Frontier was leaked years before release and people thought that might explore it, but nope, spinoff by completely different devs, not even the ones who made Daxter, and it doesn't really focus on story at all.

Mar is the mythical founder of Haven City. In Jak II we find out Jak is the Heir of Mar. In Jak 3 we find out that his true name, before Praxis dethroned his father and Jak was left a nameless orphan, was Mar, named after his mythical ancestor. But then out of nowhere at the end of the game, when Ashelin hears someone call Jak Mar, she is like "Wait, Jak is Mar? Like, THE Mar?" And yes obviously Ashelin doesn't know what she's talking about, but the way it is presented makes it seem like the writers intended her statement to actually be correct. Or else they wouldn't have her say something so stupid. The next person would just say "Uh… no, he's just named Mar. Because he's from the royal family, remember?" Of course Jak being THE Mar isn't something that would be off limits for a series that has a lot of time travel and people being other people you didn't think they were already, but it's never explored further after that line. Though at the time, we all thought it would be. We got three more games, but they were all spinoffs and didn't touch on it at all.

I tried incredibly hard to finish this game. One of the maps had a crashing bug that, once you got to a location, it was only a matter of time for the game to crash endlessly. So if you didn't have a save from before that location, that was it. Still, not a bad game. The main problem were the bugs.
