Remember when Sega had a bunch of unique franchises that weren't Sonic? Which ones (including the franchises that only had one game) would you personally want to come back, and how would you want them to come back?
Pics related are my choices, so here's how I think they should make a comeback:
>Nights already had the HD remaster, so just build a new game off of that and polish some things.
>Make an HD remaster of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe on the Switch so we can play it with a gamecube controller. Fix the camera, add some things, and you're good.
>Reboot Streets of Rage into a 3d beat-em-up game.
>Give Ristar the Taxman/Stealth treatment, and make it the JP version.

I don't really want Sega to bring back anything necessarily, I'd like to see them make a lot of their classics more available, maybe invest in emulation for something beyond the Genesis regardless of how much work it might be. They have a lot of great games in their archives that people know about but can't play for one reason or another, or could be flat out introduced to. I want Sega to go back to the Sega of the 80s and 90s which was well known for its constant iteration, trying new ideas left and right, putting inexperienced people in creative positions and getting some very refreshing ideas.

Voting with your wallet also includes what you choose not to buy. If more of the mindless retards out there, such as you, stopped giving them money they would be forced to improve or die. That's how capitalism is supposed to work. Supporting low quality garbage and objectively bad practices only shows that you're a good little consumer drone without standards and thus all you get is increasingly shittier products. Only played the second one with the jump feature. I think it would have been better if you could charge up your jumping powah by holding the button and jump on release like in a snowboarding game. In terms of location I guess the second one was the most boring, just a grey dull city. I would like to see some more life in the city, a bridge opening and closing, weather changes like strong wind from the sides making some objects fall over (blocking some paths and creating new ones), a body of water freezing over, that sort of thing. (And all of that totally scripted so a big luck factor doesn't ruin playing for scoring autism.) Perhaps a later iteration already did that, I wouldn't know.
Last year I heard some people were working on a 3D version of Eternal Champions. I wonder what happened to that.

Fight N' Rage sated my need for a beat em up, and I really hope the game sold well enough for the artist to do a sequel, he has a knack for chibi titties and the system was good.

Then why the fuck are you defending denuvo shit, you absolute retard? What sort of fucking mental illness do you have to so pretentiously fail to understand the single most basic principle behind capitalism? If they sell products that are not only bad, but outright malicious, they shouldn't be supported. streets of rage characters need to be in fighting games. The current state of fighters is pretty bad though so I can't really see them appearing in or even remotely being playable in a game with their movesets unless it was KOF and they add a whole bunch of stuff. Realistically I think a Streets of Rage character would fit in street fighter esque game perfectly but 5 is bad.

I liked it quite a bit. I like how it has branching paths depending on what you do, and it has speedrun and some other modes to squeeze the game a little bit more, and how the outfits are unlocked by actually achieving something. Only real complaint would be the clutter of enemies at times, making it a bit difficult to find your character at times, especially the girl or ninja, and the unlockable enemies at the arena mode having limited movesets, or how you can't play with them in the story mode just for fun.

I'm gonna keep repeating my hypothesis that Sonic Unleashed began development as an attempt at a 3D Ristar game. The Werehog's stretchy arms and more combat focused gameplay, with less jumping and more climbing, wouldn't feel out of place with Ristar. In addition, Chip has a very similar story to Ristar, only he's a planet instead of a star. It's almost as if Sega lost faith in this Ristar game and merged it with a Sonic game to guarantee sales. Then they lost faith in Ristar entirely and just swapped him with an OC/new form for Sonic.
Anyway, I'd play a Ristar game that functions basically like the Werehog. I always thought the Werehog stages got more flack than they deserved. With a bit more fleshing out, and more platforming/climbing added to them (which in Unleashed was all in the Daytime stages anyway), I'd play a whole game of that. Especially if it kept the cool neon designs.

Can't have Windows copy protection on Dreamcast 2. Dreamcast 2 will be coming any day now.
>>15125112
When he refers to "tertiary versions," he obviously means the Windows versions. Windowsfags begged for Sega-senpai to notice them for years, and Sega didn't care because Windowsfags don't result in a substantial profit when it comes to real video games (casual memegames and SJW indietrash ight be a different story). Windows ports are a tertiary version and Sega, as well as most other companies, don't really care about them. They just figure they might make a couple extra shekels off of the couple of you guys who don't pirate but also actually play real videogames and not just whatever memeshit your favorite streamer is playing this week. Maybe Denuvo is shit. They probably never put much thought into it, because the Windows ports aren't important to them.
Note none of this is talking about quality. Just acknowledging the fact that Windows ports don't matter. Not to the developers and publishers, at least. And especially not to the Japanese.
Anyway, how many Panzer Dragoon games are only on Saturn? I don't want to physically mod or otherwise risk damaging my Saturn, but Saturn emulators are shit. I just want all the Panzer Dragoon games. Also JSR and Ecco should come back.

It wouldn't be the first time they retooled a stand alone game for a Sonic title (Fifth Phantom Saga->Silver), but the combat in it screams "God Of War for kids" especially since that series also has similar platforming, box pushing, tightrope walking, etc featured in the werehog stages. in addendum Sonic Team is headed by a bunch of newbies with only a few people left from the 4th generation who didn't know Sonic X-Treme was a thing when making Sonic Lost World. It's more likely that they took influence from God Of War since they listed it as inspiration for one of the titles along other western games for previous Sonic projects. A western PR guy also didn't know who Fang the Sniper was when there were bizarre rumors floating about him showing up.
