Fansubs are dead right now because streaming sites pick up almost everything and get it out faster than fansubbers possibly could. If they start censoring things, or don't simulcast something, fansubbers do come back to pick up the slack. Netflix got Hisone to Maso-tan last season and didn't simulcast it, so Asenshi picked it up.
Also, making usable subs is not hard if you know moon, and is even easier when all you have to do is edit someone else's sub track. Even if the nightmare scenario where all the fansub groups are pozzed and injecting that into their translations comes to pass, it would not be hard for anons to fix their releases.
