>That OP Pic.
I used to Skateboard quite a bit when I was 14, and did it up until 18, was sponsored by a small shop up until I fucked up my knee on the 15th stair of a 16 stair set and missed out on some key Street competitions, sat it out, tried to pick it up again, but it after 3 months of trying to get back up to snuff, I lost heart.
I was then 22 when I tried picking it up again, just for shits and giggles, went to a small skateshop to break in the new board, went on the half pipe, and ended up doing some axle stalls and frontside 50-50's, was starting to pick the pace, up until I got hung up due to a lack of speed, fell, landed on my wrist.
I laughed it off, since I remember eating it exactly the same way when I was 15-16, sometimes even worse, and would have nothing more than a sprain.
But the pain didn't go away, it didn't go away for almost 2 months. I knew deep down my body wouldn't heal as quickly as it did.
Blogpost aside; my question is, how the fuck Did Tony Hawk keep at it for so long? He still hasn't (properly) retired and he's 50 years old and he's beefed in far worse ways in his late 30's and 40's I never understood it, Love the man to death though, but THUG got me into the hobby, I hope he dies on his board.
Also THUG was the last good Skateboard game.
