The image with the two 980 Ti is old. Sold those off. I need to sell more of this stuff though because it's just been piling up over the years and now I have too many whole functioning computers to justify them as "spare stuff in case one breaks". I have older slower RAM in my main desktop and put my faster newer RAM in the mini ITX build since it was compatible and I believe the first generation Rizen processor will benefit much more from faster RAM.
The mini ITX build has a compact portable 1080p screen and a bag that the SFF case and peripherals all fit into. I plug it into my television in the living room and have pretty much stopped using the spare ATX build and the laptop at this point so I should probably sell at least one of those.

Drawing on a screen is a lot easier. A Wacom Cintiq costs too much though so I got an XP-Pen Artist 15.6 for cheaper and I assume "Artist 133" ( as seen here >>15099842 ) is the XP-Pen Artist 13.3 ( smaller version of the 15.6 that I have ). The only complaints I have about it is the short cord and no stand. I got some USB extension cables and a notebook/tablet stand for mine so it's not an issue, but it was added cost (still cheaper than a Cintiq however).
70045b No.15100149
>>15100088
Cintiq is at 800 USD if I recall right so I assume you shaved off half that, and apparently the 13.3 inch one costs 200 USD. I'll consider it if I go stateside, cause right now I'm focused on finishing my upgrade. Which leads to my next question - any issues with the mini ITX build? I like to OC a lot and I heard ITX mobos are bad for that, but when going for a tiny-ass build for lugging around, they're really attractive compared to a micro-ATX.

>>15100149
>when going for a tiny-ass build for lugging around, they're really attractive compared to a micro-ATX
Even more attractive than the Gayman Laptop that it replaced since I can use desktop parts which cost less and cool better. The VRMs on mini ITX boards are nothing special. I got my R5 1600X to 3.9GHz. I hear 3.9GHz and 4.0GHz are the most common OCs, but since I have no other AM4 motherboards to test it on I can't really assume I could clock it any higher on another board. I have heard that my Gigabyte ITX board (GA-AB350N-Gaming WIFI) does not have a great BIOS for overclocking but I managed to overclock just fine with it.
If you do go for mini ITX invest in some fan splitters because they give you a pathetic amount of fan connections on these tiny boards. Pic-related is pretty much my bag and SFF case but without the slot for a slot-loading optical drive since I figured that'd just be a waste of space. The nCase M1 is very easy to work with but retarded expensive since LIAN LI + Aluminum = $$$. There's a bigger/better bag available now that holds more shit and even has double straps to use like a backpack. I hear that if you want to take these things through airports you can't put liquid cooling in them. I have a small 120 CLC on my Ryzen CPU but I never tried taking it through an airport yet. I don't know the volume of liquid in the CLC but they probably wouldn't allow it.
70045b No.15100302
>>15100240
See, that hurts cause I'd achieve 4.6GHz OC on my FX8350, and want to use the 2600x similarly. Far as cases go, the price tag on the Ncase M1 drove me away, so now it's a toss-up between the Raijintek Styx, Coolermaster Elite 130 if I go mini ITX. For micro ATX only feasible option round me is the Corsair Air 240. For cooling, I got the air cooler that came with the 2600x and and the liquid cooler from me previous build, and I'd like to freaking use it. Could detach it and put it in luggage, but that's a painful solution. What concerns me the most is that even by going mini ITX the size reduction ain't much - the Air 240 is at 15.63 x 10.24 x 12.6 in compared to something like the Thermaltake v1 at 12.4 x 10.2 x 10.9 in.

Absolutely disgusting. Should only be done if you absolutely need maximum performance in the most portable size possible. If the box is just going to sit in your house forever, then bigger is better. More room for cable routing and space to upgrade gigantic video cards and heatsinks if you desire. Not to mention having lots of hard drive bays is awesome.

The nCase M1 is 12.6L at 12" x 6.2" x 9.3". The volume is in a good spot I think since I can still fit some water cooling into it. Some SFF cases go so small that you can barely fit anything good into them, other are so big it defeats the purpose of having a "small form factor" case. I see plenty of them supporting full ATX power supplies which might be a nice feature if you want to re-use a PSU, but if you actually want to go "small" it's better that the case is made to fit an SFX power supply instead of full ATX.

E.g only recently did Nvidia reduce the pricing on the 1060s cause they found out that due to overestimating demand from bitcoin motherfuckers they had a surplus of 300, 000. Just wait a bit for the new GPUs, or if it's needed ASAP get either a 290, 390 or 480 super cheap - 580 for full price. Were it only a matter of hardware, answer would be yes. But Nvidia has introduced a bunch of malware and anti-consumer policies with their latest drivers and software that fucks up performance to a good degree and should be unpalatable to anyone not willing to get fucked in the ass. I've personally seen it happen on a classmate's laptop sporting a 1060 3G, where there was tangible performance drop in certain games and software being a RAM hog (restarted just in case it was a memory leak, and problem was consistent). Either way, Nvidia anything is not advised right now unless it's older GPUs that do not need the latest updates. As for AMD, I've already mentioned my thoughts.

Don't use a meme memory stick.
Get whatever fits the performance characteristics you want at the cheapest price and not from a chink brand. Don't bother with fan heatsinks either, all RAM sticks have sub-3W TDP at maximum load and heatsinkless passive cooling is enough to keep them only 10c above room temp. I haven't bothered checking prices, but I bought my 1600mhz RAM kit with better latency for 43 dollars, yours is double that.
Your PSU seems fine at first but you don't have any breathing room. That's assuming the TDP of your parts is not a lie, which is wrong, AMD/Intel/nVidia always report TDPs below what they really are, but AMD does it more, and then you have to account for the inefficiency of everything increasing power consumption.
A good PSU lasts 20 years or more anyway so get one with at least 600w.
>case suggestions
Don't get a reddit-tier case is all.
I have a http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=c_00001579 and it's great.
Avoid using the side fan mount, it'll create turbulence inside your case and make airflow inefficient.

Don't worry about support lists, those days are long gone and manufacturers keep the lists because people expect them.
Just make sure that your hardware is supported. For instance if you're going to use ECC memory, make sure your motherboard/CPU are compatible with ECC, not your stick in specific.
Your build is fine. Remember to use windows embedded/LTSB if you're a windowscuck, and to install your OS into the SSD.
If you want a program on the SSD specifically install it to the SSD, don't put everything there or you'll run out of space, and the OS on the SSD is nice because it's the program you'll use the most and everything will load a few shared libraries from the OS.

If you pirate games you will find you've saved tons of money for other things. I saw a thread where people posted how much they had spend on Steam and many of them had burned through thousands upon thousands of dollars and much of it was on singleplayer shit they could have easily pirated.

unfortunately it's not true as AMD's heat sensors were inaccurate when reporting at a software level. A lot of people had things like FX6300's running at 7c on air. Obviously they didn't.

Yeah, but as constant running temp is higher the components' lifespans are shortened. I stop playing shit when it hits 80 or near it, because that's when speccy goes from orange to red. It's really fucking hot here.

Upgraded recently from a 760 to a 1060. Everything else is the same and has been since I built it. Pretty cheap but effective build.

We've all fallen for some kind of shitty meme if we have any hardware from the past 5 years, lest we still be running Core 2 Duos and Phenoms and shit.

Nope, probably just the summer heat and my shitty air conditioning also I should probably dust my computer out, it's been a few months.

I was considering doing something like that until I found the deal on the 3770. I just want to be able to emulate Wii U and some PS3 games.

There's some guy/place in the UK that goes by the username cheapercodes or something on ebay, sells win7 keys for about 7 bucks. Use Buy It Now, the key gets emailed to you right away. I've bought about fives codes from them. You have to use the Microsoft automated phone system to activate, but it works.
All the places that sell keys for cheap can do it because you're technically not buying a license for the software, you're just buying the key. Legally you're still not supposed to use the software. Oh well.
If you really want it totally free you can try to luck with torrents.

I'm doing a new build and I just realized that my wireless adapter is like 14 years old. Thinking of getting this one, but would it work with DDR4 RAM?
