Russians have a talent for hacking old games to give them features you thought were a pipe dream.

UT99 still has an active community, but last time I mentioned it you faggots went onto their boards and acted like faggots and a lot of active users left. Wulfenstein has a multiplayer game that still has actice players. And of course, there's Doom.

Crossfire is basically a graphical MUD that was started in the early 90's, and still played today. Pic is an early version of the client.

Stuns is a great fucking game. I spent a few summers hanging out at my friend's house and taking turns designing tracks and racing on them. One thing that the editor never picked up on was placing a ramp below a hill and then a matching ramp on the top of a hill. It looked fine to the engine, but every time that ramp would end up sending you straight into the side of the hill.

Eamon (aka Wonderful World of Eamon) is a text RPG originally made for the Apple II. Since the "engine" was in BASIC language, it was easy for people to write new adventures for it, and there's over 250 of them on the Eamon Adventurer's Guild site. There's still a small trickle of activity in recent years.
