So now that Evolve Stage 2 is gone forever and that only Evolve Legacy is available, is there a way to revive it or something similar? I know there are things like TF2 Vintage where players have a custom launcher to launch their own version of TF2 with their own balance and stuff but remove hats, keep the old graphics et cetera, but is there a way to do something similar with Evolve Stage 2? Personally, I liked both Legacy and Stage 2 for different reasons; while Legacy and the stuff from /assg/ like Dead By Daylight are fun Asymmetrical games but don't scratch that same itch. Any solutions? Alternatives? Thoughts?

Was that the general consensus? I know a lot of people liked Legacy more, but Stage 2 was still fun for quick more VS like matches. At the same time though, completely ruined the whole Hunting mechanic of the game. I hope 2K learned from this whole marketing disaster but knowing them, probably not. I guarantee they'll pull this shit again and again, and it makes me sad to think that. I just wanna play games.

I just love the idea of an asymmetrical game. None of them are balanced towards the one though, the 4v1 is ridiculously aimed towards the 4, but I still have fun on either side. It's a neat concept and they always have creative, fun ideas. I dunno man, I just like the concept for the video game.

I think everyone liked the concept at first. It's the execution that was terrible. It became a benny hill style run around instead of a hunter vs prey battle as it was pitched. Most games devolved into this ring around the rosey track that it became boring. They also killed any momentum they have by trying to block the porn and turning it into an e-sport.

I had a few fun hours with stage 2. Wraith was not only hot but pretty good. Maybe some dev fags who also pop boners for wraith will make some standalone version of the game or whatever.

Honestly I really liked Evolve as well. Nothing really plays good with a non-human character in my experience. I'd be down for trying to play through it in a little group, you only need five people anyway.

They DID though. 2K pulled an EA and tried to have them rush it to market within a year of forcing them to start the entire project over again; ontop of the THREE MONTH PATCH CYCLE forced by Microshoft

2k is the only reason this project failed. Shame TRS had no choice.
