I've never been able to get into this game, or any crpg for that matter, due to my low vision. I cannot read any of the text and the UI icons are too small for me to tell what they are. Now, I want to try it again and I have a couple of questions.

1. Vanilla, EE or GemRB?

2. Is the enhanced version good? I already own the vanilla game, but I know the EE has a zoom in feature, which could potentially solve my problem with the UI and text, but I fear any kind of censorship or introduction of SJW shit.

3. Is the EE mod friendly? I wish to install bugfixes and whatnot.

4. Can I zoom/scale the UI and text with GemRB?

So far I have tried GemRB and the game runs, however it doesn't play well with Ghostdogs PST UI mod, nor can I zoom or find any configuration that allows me to do so. I also tried playing the vanilla version with the UI mod, but even at 120% it still seems to damn tiny, and the cursor is being a bitch and moving everywhere.

I would say vanilla because it can 100% make text a lot bigger from what I know, but EE might also work (didn't play it yet tho)

Ok. I managed to make it bigger by setting the resolution at 1280x720, and fixed the flickering by turning off desktop composition. I still feel the UI to be too small though. Which files would I need to mod in order to make my own UI mod?

Just play Vanilla, set the resolution at 800x600 and Ghostdogs PST UI mod to enlarge the fonts and ui for the game. Also use Planescape: Torment Unfinished Business, the Planescape: Torment Tweak Pack, Planescape: Torment Ultimate WeiDU Fixpack and the pst-drawfix.

IIRC, Beamdog didn't change or add in any of their shit writing in EE.

All they did was add in some already existing mods like widescreen, etc.

They also hired Avellone who edited some stuff for the better or worse IDK.

Ok, ended up with EE, I edited the font size with the config file and switched to the tablet UI. Now I can finally play this game. Thanks.

Play BG2 instead.
