There's always piracy on PC and physical copies if Sony gets their shit together and reinstates backwards compatibility. Microsoft kind of screwed the pooch on that by requiring a digital download unlocked by a physical disk, since that counts as a new distribution - so even physical Xbox Original games played on an Xbox One are subject to the whims of jewish copyright lawyers. They really should have just written a robust generalized editor and only made you download the tweaks needed to get it running as close to original as possible.

Don't get your hopes up. They're currently working diligently on life-extension and preservation technologies - including reversing aging (which is still a long way's off). You're not going to be lucky enough to be allowed the dignity of death.
I used to think there'd be no way something as good as curing aging would be feasible. Now I realize that, of course it will be developed and affordable in my lifetime, because there is no escape from this hell.

You might be thinking of X-Link Kai, a Gameranger-esque service that uses System Link or LAN to keep online games running after their shutdown.
THPS2x for the Hueg actually supports up to 8 players over System Link, but with slots that scarce we could opt for THUGPro or THPS3 instead.

That's not the issue here. They can also mute the game music and download the original soundtrack on their consoles. These remakes may be killed in the idea stage because the soundtrack gets cut down so badly that it's impossible not to notice, not to mention other games may shy away from licensed music in the future after considering this.
fbd565 No.15026430
The original copies of the game are unmolested, defiant of all licensing limitations and legal obstacles and are the vacuum sealed way to maintain and experience these games. If you own these games digitally you are missing out and it's unfortunate it's the way these things work

> Yakuza woulda been mentioned but you can get those on PC now,
I don't think it's worth considering inferior versions. The Yakuza ports on PC are slated to be quite the mess going forward, and considering it's starting off with a port of a 4 year old game something tells me the future of the series is going to be at the minimum a year behind, coupled with all the issues PC ports tend to have technically and going forward as new hardware and drivers and APIs have messier support for older games, coupled with the DRM it seems to be a clear step down.

I guess it's time to dust the old tank off and see which ones I have on there. I remember leaving off on what I think was THPS2 Chicago or Carnival with only a COMBO missing and being really depressed I couldn't nab it for a 100% completionist run.
