Warhammer indeed is good setting for making champions vs horde games. Vermnited did a good job. Such gameplay can be expanded even in PvP games borrowing from the L4D again. Horde players should respawn much more often for numbers. Also you can make Horde players control entire squad of 10-30 untits of say Gaunts at once. He can give RTS orders to squad (attack enemy, attack point, move to point etc) and control personally choose unit of his squad 1rst person. In such way gameplay can be bloodbath with Champions (Space Murines) slaying couple enemies per second but it is still balanced 1 player equals 1 player as there's is another 30 units of his squad coming to shank you.

The smart thing to do would be to give 40k more exposure, and you can usually achieve that with a TV show or a movie. GW have given a few insincere attempts to do this but it has never caught the spirit of 40k, at least not like video related.

Either that or curate their games better and find a developer of the same quality as old Relic to make them another Dawn of War, or a decent epic scale game, or a good cRPG. Spacehulk: Deathwing Enhanced Edition

There is an offline campaign in which you progress through chapters. It is indeed spooky and tough, weapons unlock along the way and you earn skill points to use psyker skills, or to boost your party's defense/hp.

The big thing is multiplayer, where you have tons of weapons to upgrade per class and trinkets to make your Terminator look deadly. Class perks to unlock (reload x2, etc). This is the fun part, playing with others on Lion difficulty/no mercy whichever is the toughest. Once you max your skill and weapons, you can cruise through the hardest difficulty on any level. Its so overpowered that it just works like that, long as friendly fire is off.

Its very fun and underrated, very similar to Vermintide of "penetrate X region, do random emergency quests with party, stabilize the area, purge, and fallback/move out".

I don't have any gameplay but I should make a video of endgame.
