The dinosaurs roam my backyard but I've been using them to fuel my AIDS research to distribute the virus to children. Thr air goes white hairs, as jurassic world is going to the box office with plently of hairless apes eating their own feces. I haven't played it yet though. I'm waiting for the crack as I refuse to purchase any game with Denuvo. It could be bad.

I've watched a few reviews of it, trying to get an overall consensus.Overall, it sounds like all the pieces are there, but it could have used another couple months to iron out the flaws. I will say that the primary complaints I'm hearing from most reviews sound like things that probably can be resolved via patches. I'd say check back in on it in a couple months to see where it is.

The mechanics of flying the ships is the only good thing about the game. Get a HOTUS stick and if you can, a 3d headset, and you'll have fun, but flying ships is the extent of fun in that game. Even docking is fun. But there isn't much content outside of missions and exploration (but I imagine exploring is dead considering it's something people do), but sometimes a system may have a new rock in it.

Inferior to Operation Genesis in many ways, has a few bugs and balance issues, but still a very fun sim game. Wait for a few months until the patches are out if you don't want to deal with the issues, but as of now it's still playable.

And remember how in Operation Genesis, the dinosaurs formed herds, individual visitors had visible stats, the park needed to be cleaned, etc? They implemented power grids and other boring shit instead of bringing back these stuff. Missions and park management are integrated into one this time, and it's a mess. The art direction is dull compared to JPOG, even though the animations look great and dinosaur fight and rampage look awesome. But I'd still say it's worth a play, still better than most park management games out there coz it has dinosaurs.

As much as i love OG back when i was a witty teen, it's definitely not a 9/10 for me since it had that inherrent simplicity and crudeness that ultimately prevented it from being a proper contender to the crown king of Zoo Sim games; Zoo Tycoon 2.

Let's run down the list shall we?

>1. No other biomes than puke green

>2. Limited alternate Park designs

>3. Herbivores are content with a medium - small space as long as they have a proper feeding system. Making large sprawling parks a money sink.

>4. Moving dinosaurs is a complete detachment from the gameplay world since everytime you move a dinosaur, it's as if God himself stopped time just so you could move a dinosaur somewhere else.

>5. Twisters are a goddamn pain in the ass to deal with that you'll consider them to be worth anticipating against. However other 'disasters' are like a nip to the feet compared to the asspain that is an early Twister when you were just starting out. Hell, underused Weather mechanics in general

>6. Lack of gameplay diversity. Every single game seems to be a race of getting the top tier Dinosaurs or else you'll be stuck at a middle-income trap. Unfortunately the dinosaur pool, while respectable for it's time, fell short when compared to it's peers. this problem is even more compounded by the reasons below. Not to mention the pitifully small selection of attractions that you could only give, even if it's still rough.

>7. Not being able to have all your Dinosaurs at your disposal. Shit like this grinds my gears since you could only choose a few of the Formations that you can get your dinosaurs from, and said formations may not even have the dinosaurs that you'd like and you'll be stuck with the selection for the rest of the playthrough.

I gotta admit one thing they did right, They do tutorials really well that even a 10-yo can get an even grasp of the gameplay after the tutorial.

If Planet Coaster is anything to go by they're not going to fix the game, just try and scam people with more useless DLC.

I saw a video review where the guy mentions that your advisors are apparently sentimental as fuck. If for example you do tasks that the security guy asks you to do (which you must do to unlock security stuff) the research and tourism people will become upset and start doing shit like letting the dinosaurs out.

The game looks somewhat fun but I think I'll wait for the inevitable patches and dlc before I pirate it. Seems to me it needs a bit of polish.
