Honestly Rocksteady was teasing their next game would be something fans will freak out over, which made me figure it had to be Superman (because flight in an Arkham-like game is cool) or Justice League (because why have one hero when you can have a ton?). I had a longshot guess of Batman Beyond too, but I had a feeling they weren't going to be that cool.

I'm sure it will be worth playing. The Rocksteady Arkham games were pretty good not counting their 'remaster.'

Knight was full of gimmicky shit like the batmobile that detracted from the whole experience. They were also clearly struggling to find another villain even as they still reused Joker repeatedly saw that coming the moment they announced Scarecrow since hallucination gas was an easy way to get him back in.

That's fair. I could see why that would bother someone. I enjoyed all of that, especially the story bits. I felt like Batman dealing with the Joker's 'ghost' was one of the coolest Batman stories I've seen.

I do have mixed feelings about the Batmobile, though. On one hand I enjoyed using it a lot. On the other hand I agree it kind of broke up the core gameplay that made the other two so successful. It also makes me wonder how well a flight mechanic will work out in that kind of game if Superman is what we are getting.

Superman came from a time when things were clear-cut and boiled down to good guys and bad guys. I actually wouldn't mind a game where a superhero with that line of thinking has to deal with modern society, and the entire game is about how far we've fallen as a society. Sadly, everytime this has been attempted has been by either shitty writers, dye-hairs, womyn, or (usually) all of the above who think the way things are now are way better than what they were back then.

As long as people remember that superman is only as strong as he is written to be then their shouldn't be too much of a problem.

The first picture makes me think it's a Justice League game. It reads like Superman isn't the only hero you play. Perhaps it's a foothold into future Justice League games. Title it Superman but give you sections of Martian Manhunter, Flash, Aquafag, Batma, Wonder Cunt, etc.

Anyway, as a superman game, I'd like it if you started about "Max Fleischer" tier abilities (limited flight, bounding for most movement, strong enough to pull a train but enough teargas can make you collapse, get winded from chucking a boulder) but as you do good deeds (largely based in stopping to help the common people) helps bolster you to Animated Adventures of Superman levels and perhaps a bit farther for the endgame.

I also hope for instances such as in this episode.

Joker's ghost was the best part because there wasn't any other decent villain in the game. They built up The Knight competently and then turned him into a conflicting mess by the end. He either really wanted batman dead or he wanted to fuck with him and doesn't even see him as a threat. It's weird.

I think it's possible, but not easy. Don't worry so much on making it realistic and consistent with the comics. Don't worry about making stupid plot reasons for Superman being able to die. Just make a well made and fun to play game. If you make a good game where you can fly around and use some cool powers, most people won't care and will recognize that shit needs to be changed for the sake of making a functional video game. It's like when you're playing a DBZ or One Piece game and everyone is made roughly the same strength in order to make a balanced game.

Yeah, magic affects him the same as anyone else. So he's gonna have a tough time with magical barriers or if someone puts a magical bind on him. He also gets his energy from our sun. So if he's sent to a different dimension or universe that has a different sun, then he won't have his powers. Like, I think Krypton had a different sun, which is why everyone there was just normal people and they're not flying around with ice breath.

I think with Arkham Knight they shouldn't have gone to such lengths to pretend he wasn't Jason Todd, since the somewhat different take on the character is what made it interesting and its not like every normalfag knows who that is to begin with. I definitely don't think they played him poorly, but I do think that making it sound like he was a mysterious badass rival that we've never seen before set people's expectations in completely the wrong direction.

I liked how they did with a lot of the villains. The Riddler challenges were an improvement on the last. I thought they did great with the Professor Pyg missions, even if the villain himself was kind of lame. Deathstroke's missions were fucking great, though I would have rather had a full on fight rather than fight his tank. The only villain I was truly disappointed by was Hush, because I felt like the build up from the second game was worth more than the couple of missions we got in Knight, even if it was kind of neat you got to play from his perspective.

I think the important part was how they all meshed together to make it seem like you are going through a full season or movie of TAS or something all tied together by Scarecrow and ghost Joker. Each villain had their own strange scheme and it all builds up to the Knightfall ending where everyone now everyone knows Batman is Bruce Wayne. For me it was really well done. As a game, I don't think it was as solid as one or two in terms of overall feel, but that is my rant as to why I definitely did not hate it. Even the story based DLC (My roommate bought the season pass. Don't judge.) was really cool.
