Even if everyone had Sheikah Slates, it is unlikely they had access to the bomb, stasis, etc. runes. Considering that these runes are distributed in shrines designed to test the hero, they were probably only meant to be obtained by Link, or higher-up Sheikah.

Yes. They didn't have to stop anyone from abusing anything because is likely that special runes where reserved for VIPs. Also Link's could be some sort of a master slate for the hero.

Nothing points to them having TV and Radio but certainly a form of internet for communication but again is all magic.

I doubt anyone within Nintendo ever thought that much through. I know this because the design works for BoTW state that the magic tech the Sheikah use are a consequence of them deciding the game would have robotic enemies (starting with the guardians) and them needing a reason to explain it.

The game doesn't dwell much in any of the "lore" it has, that's the reason is set so far in the future within the timeline, so far in fact that Nintendo don't even want to say where exactly.

But riddle me this, if the Sheikah were so technologically advanced, what the fuck happened to them? Especially when you consider that by the time you're playing their tech is supposedly ancient, while Hyrule is still in middle age's era. So either ancient Sheikah were cunts and didn't want to share or everyone in Hyrule is has an IQ around room temperature.

The developers openly stated that lore was secondary when making this game so this shit is not supposed to make sense.

Anyways, why would the sheikah give their technology to the peasants. Sheikah have always been reluctant to share their technology and secrets with the masses. If anything only select elites from the clan would have access to the tablet, otherwise there would me more tablets lying around and not the two that zelda and purah was implied to have.

Going into the topic of runes, the runes could be disabled from the tablet. Purah was able to hack the tablet and unlock the loli ray. This contributes to my hypothesis that the sheikah scientist were pedos.

And more importantly, if the people of Hyrule can get their shit together with functionally infinite resources, how are they supposed to do that when everything is finite again?

A lot of the weapons are reasonably well preserved. Speaking of, why aren't there more blacksmiths? People didn't stop building new shit, look at Tarrey Town. There's a robot who spits out gear. There's a market for clothes/armor but not weapons and shields. And even though weapons and shields degrade, armor from way back never degrades?

The Sheikah Slate was from 10,000 years ago. If everybody was running around with bombs and freezing time that is probably why Hyrule ended up banning technology.
