456900 No.14941605

When Hector is warned "Your life will not end in a comfortable bed. You will die on the battlefield. In the savage garden of war’s bloody delights" it's not just a reference to his fate in Sword of Seals, but also his namesake Hector of Troy who was also destined to die in battle.

>the flock of bird that crashes through the big window in condemned one may have been driven insane by the audio resonators, which we dont see until 2, there are obviously resonators hidden around the area as evidenced by the high number is very aggressive enemies there

>the oro statues in the museums garden seem weird at first, but once you find out they're in high power positions in the city and gov't it makes more sense they'd be slipping their art in there

>the apple orchards in 1 had the fires to prevent the trees from freezing and breaking, which is apparently a real life thing some farms in cold area (like upstate new york) do

I played through Trails in the Sky until I realized at the end of SC that you can rotate the camera in combat.

I also realized there was a turbo mode as well.

Oro means "gold" in Spanish, so you may have something there.

The first time I played Super Mario Brothers 2, I didn't know that you had to press up to go through doors. Before then, I had never played a game where you did that, and I didn't have access to a proper manual for the game. This was when it was still new, and appeared in PC10 coin-ops. Can't think of anything recent, though.

Was the story of Super Mario Bros 2 really all just a figment of Mario's imagination, or is Subcon an actual parallel dream-realm that Mario visited in his dream? Were Peach, Toad, and Luigi there because they were all sleeping at the same time and visited the same dream world?

>Neat things in video games that are obvious in hindsight

When replaying a game, I like it when I start noticing all the foreshadowing a game's story subtly had. In Skyward Sword, the old woman wears a blue-purple bracelet from the very first moment you meet her. The significance of the bracelet (as well as who her identity truly is) isn't made clear until the game's ending. On my second playthrough, it was cool to now notice this small forgettable detail that was right under my nose this whole time.

What if there was magic in the Super Mario universe, where the events of the game, while in a dream, still happened in another realm accessed by dreaming? Asking about the logic and continuity of Mario games requires levels of autism unfathomable to the normal man.

>>14943949

Most people aren't capable of paying attention to anything anymore, so it's rare to find any kind of foreshadowing, or other literary devices like a Chekov's gun, that are brought to bear in games.

One of the biggest WHOOAAA moments I had with this game is that The Ballad of the Goddess and Zelda's Lullaby are reversed verions of each other. Worst 3D Zelda, but it still is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Seeing all of the destroyed evidence in the areas Wesker just so happened to go through in Resident Evil is pretty neat, even if it's made redundant by the spic captain and retard tier reveal at the end.

In MGR the villains ask maiden to shed his ideals of justice and give in to bloodshed and by the time you're on your second play through you're skipping all pretenses of narrative, and muh story for the gameplay. The bloodshed and combat. You literally become just like Sam.
