I played tiny bit of EU3 and EU4, a shit ton of Crusader Kings 2 and Victoria 2 and also quite a bit Hearts of Iron 3.
I don't agree honestly. Playing these games isn't hard. It's just a matter of learning the game mechanics.
Also the DLC fuck up the game for newcomers. While it's relatively easy to learn, when it's just released, they completly fuck up their game feeling with hundreds of badly implemented patches and DLC.
I was just completly overwhelmed at all the stupid options you can do in EU4 after I loaded it up again with the MEIOU mod, years after I played it at relase, managed to make Byzantium Greeat Again and left, when all that was left was to snowball.
I played Paradox Games to total exhaustion and with their recent games, they have proven that they will never make a game like Victoria 2 anymore. Everyone of their games will be an EU4 clone from now on. They even added EU4 mechanics to CK2.
Their space game doesn't even have a private market.

I can't forgive paradox for Crusader Kings 2 Monks and Mystics. They gave the satanists all sorts of cool shit, like an easy-mode method to kill anyone, evil curses and shit, letting you turn into a crazed maniac bent on making more blood sacrifices.
