I have a Commodore 64C with the original box/manuals and a commodore 1702 video monitor+the datasette drive. I have no games for it though, but I know you can write .tap files to a cassette tape and it'll run on a real C64

Can't you use a tape adaptor and play the files through that, taking out the need to make multiple tapes?

You probably can. But not with a stock datasette drive as you see, there is a little plastic cassette bay that must be closed. Its easier to just record .tap files using a regular audio recorder

I have a C64 breadbin, Vic-20, C64C currently taken apart, Amiga 500 and a PET alongside 1084S monitor set up next to me. I love fucking about when them when I'm bored and seeing what they can do still.

As always, it's always worth getting (or making yourself) a SD2IEC and Tape Drive Emulator. Wifi card for the C64 enable BBS shit once again if you want to shitpost.

Get one of the sd/flash card readers for C64, that way you will transfer your gaemz/program download off the net to C64 quickly and conviently.

graphics programming was fun on the C64 days. being able to change the memory register instead of having dedicated framebuffers allowed for some really neat tricks back in the day.
