I have, it was okay but hindsight probably bad. The good things are that they incorporated accidents into the game, also the changing the voltage on circuits minigame was kinda neat. The bad news is that they took out the backpack system out and put in a half assed version of the hitman instinct. You can't see through walls with it but you can use it as a bullet time or as a freebie knockout (which you could of done normally in death to spies 1 & 2). It regenerates very slowly or in chunks when you complete objectives. You tell they were in a rush to retool the game into it's original thing by the quality of the cutsences, they're literally a slide show. My guess is they were going for a thief cutscene art direction but thief cutscenes actually do have motion, just limited motion. Also the character swap which was hinted in the original gameplay trailers of death to spies 3 is not there.
I haven't played the nuHitman game so I can't say it's better or worse. But all I can say is don't be surprised that alekines gun will leave a bad taste in your mouth.

The problem is that the levels are designed with that in mind. For instance, in the Colorado mission, you need to find an interpol badge to lure a target ot a location you can kill her. The location of the badge isn't mentioned or described, and there is no visual indication on the character who has it (he's a random technician), so to get it, you need to take out technicians until you find it, OR turn on the hand-holding instinct vision. It's bullshit.

I have no issue at all with this and I feel like /v/ is bitching about anything they can, because if it was fully targeted for and at co-op then they would cry about selling out or shitting on the fans or some shit. I am a fan of the series of the series of over 10 years and saying this completely honestly, Hitman 2016 is probably my second favorite Hitman game. The level design is just fucking absurd, they've never been as detailed and big as they are now and the freedom is just immense. Hitman 2016's missions are absurdly replayable, far more than Blood Money. Hitman 2016 WOULD be my favorite Hitman game if it just wasn't for the episodic nature and it was a whole, self contained game where I don't get closure on the story until 2 years later and have to pay another 60 euro.

Stop being a bunch of negative fucks. Granted, co-op in a form of a sniper buddy in hitman is a terrible idea, but it could work if done right. One player is in the field as 47, the other basically plays Uplink - they have access to info 47 doesn't, can do things 47 can't like hack something, call a phone for distraction. Then, maybe add a little randomization into levels; 47 makes an access point to the other player into the target's network, then the other player can retrieve shit like patrol routes, psychological profiles of guards, floor plans, procedules for some shit. Maybe give dialogue options to 47 and he has to choose the best one based who he's speaking to/who he is posing as, have guards in high-security areas making trick questions/statements. Make 47 work on blending in, just eating doughnuts or screwing a random screw is not gonna cut it, he has to do what a real worker does, because somebody passing by could notice his bullshitting.
Electronic security is growing fast and the series kinda failed to adress it.
