No, pyromancy glove is considered a weapon, so it's affected by matchmaking. See, it basically works like this:

And yeah, your refusal to buy a produce that wasn't quite up to your exceptions will disincentivize other companies from trying to pull in a new audience while simultaneously attempting to please their old fans with a lot of traffic again, making the gaming industry as a whole gravitate toward far more money-grabbing tactics like micro transactions, day-one DLC, and loot boxes, things that don't even really get the hate they deserve anymore because we've become so numb to it to the degree that a company like Fromsoft that actually tries to make great games gets their head bitten off by showing even the faintest sign of greed, but a different kind of greed than the kind we're constantly getting raped by, but at least we're letting From know NOT to raise our expectations and hype us up when the product they're going to sell is only passable. Never mind the fact that if they had only marketed the remaster differently there almost certainly wouldn't be any backlash, showing the gaming industry that marketing is extremely important so they better put a lot of money into that rather than the actual game. You looked Fromsoft in the eye and said, "No! We don't like that you're removing the original Dark Souls from Steam." Yeah, it would fracture the player base if it was left up, and yeah, the remaster is supposed to be the better version and they would want to represent themselves as a company as best they can, but they should have KNOWN not to take away something that hardcore fans love, the same hardcore fans that would benefit the most from having a revitalized community and new people to play with. And yes, this is more likely to lead to From not ever attempting a remaster again rather than them trying to make a better remaster in the future, but at least we saved $20! That's money that multiplayer-only games with micro transactions need! Speaking of $20, the Skyrim remaster gave their product away for free to people who already owned the old one! The Gravelord Servant covenant works like this. You put down your sign in any area. This causes your sign to also appear in the worlds of other players. In New Game+ this also causes black phantom enemies to spawn in those other players' worlds. If they're not in New Game+, it doesn't do this.
To rank up with the Gravelord Servants, you need to successfully be invaded by the players you infected, then kill them. If they die without invading you, you don't get anything. Not even the satisfaction of watching them die, because you can't see the players you infect until they invade you.
As a result, the covenant doesn't actually work for its intended purpose: Getting rewarded for punishing other players with harder fights. On New Game the harder fights don't fucking exist, and on New Game+ you actually want to put your sign down right next to a bonfire so you can be invaded asap anyways.
Of course, since cheat engine exists the easiest way to farm the covenant is to sit in a high traffic area and auto-curse anyone who invades you. You probably won't get banned from online for doing it, either.

Yes, Believe it or not the original Dark Souls PTDE's multiplayer was converted to P2P after it dropped GFWL, it only uses steamworks for it's matchmaking.
You can either:

It only loads in windows mode, fullscreen is borked and shows no video (with Reshade that is, without it the game doesn't boot in either full or windowed).
Windowed mode lets me select resolutions but the actual rendered resolution seems to always be 1280x720 which is stretched to whatever resolution I select (i.e. what Dark Souls did when you didn't have DSfix).

Slow wind up, slow moving shots, zero armor. Enemy AI is non-existent, they just walk into the shots. In pvp I've had some great luck switching to curved sword and dodge-swinging like a bitch, even throwing some shortbow action in there but I'll be the first to admit all my opponents tend to be either complete dog shit or 1-hit wonders.

When given the choice what to supplement your casters' slow spells with, why would you choose the slow weapon over the fast one?
In addition, if you have a fast weapon CMW'd and swap out your catalyst for a parry shield, then you have the tools to be viable in PvP. This means that after you miss your dark bead spam casts, you wont swing your slow and easily parried weapon against someone that actually knows how to play.
MLGS is for style points only, but it is a shit weapon.
