Economically speaking, it's the worst blow to the EU yet, but not because of the trade between Britain and the rest of Europe (the (((EU))) bankers still wait for the British to repay a would-be debt they inflate any time they need to import more nigs) but because the costs of organizing the bailout and the amount of PR the EU has had to do both directly and with subversion is quite a lot, which led to more countries ever more indebted to the union and hence spread the Nationalism meme like wildfire.
Politically, it's a blow to the UK rather than the EU, as the magical Article 50 allows them to perform some token actions ("we can finally impose tariffs as long as the EU doesn't get their fee fees hurt!") but since the bureaucrats of old saw this possibility thru they made like hundreds of different deals signed, co-signed or unsigned by different nations, so for example the Schengen agreements, the one biggest issue Brexit was supposed to solve, is also the one the UK has the most difficulties getting out of, mostly because the (((EU))) found a small formality that forces Ireland and Northern Ireland to keep an open border both for socioeconomic reasons (having a very weirdly shaped border will just bring back good ol' black markets and smuggling of people and local mafias) and because it would fuck over whoever has a trade on the island, something that understandably pisses off the Irish and could later on lead to political unrest on both sides.
Socially speaking, it amounts to fuck all, because the EU pretty much only agreed to the deal in the first place if the UK had extremely loose immigration and integration laws, foreign workers can still stay for a basically indefinite amount of time, given they go through some very light formalities (in some cases, they can just hop from border to border and be considered fit for more years of gibs), which is actually an issue that keeps the Britbong economy from tumbling down at ludicrous speeds (as opposed to the slow but steady de-britification of the isles and their decreasingly powerful economy), as, at least gathering this from a few foreigner friends' words, if a hard Brexit came about , 9 in 10 inhabitants of Southern England would disappear, alongside their jobs and shops. Which, to the average John Smith or /pol/ack seems like a great thing, except that Britain would most likely collapse or even be forced to import foreign labor, ironic, isn't it?
Finally, the issue about LGBTQRPC++- and Muslims invading the islands will not be solved either. They don't just come to Britain for the jobs, they come because of a mix of gibs, special programs to aid them in their lives and impunity for local misconduct. Do you know why Muslims started leaving parts of the US? Because Trump, for all of his overly dramatic proposals and PR stunts actually did ban, even if only partially, the travel from countries with a majority Muslim population. Now, when people, especially third worlders with a basic grasp of the native language, move over to a new country, the first people that can help them or use them are those that are already there - it's a system that lets the newcomers get acquainted with the local businesses and the old guard to justify their permanent residence even if barely legal. What happens when the influx of new blood disappears? No more immigrants would illegally come and seek for their help, hence their revenue gets severely sliced, so they just move to another first world country with much more favorable conditions for their business - in this case it was with all those fleeing to Canada.
