Been thinking a lot about my situation the last few days.
Money is running out and I need to start looking for a job. At least part-time. I've been a NEET for the last 3 years now and for as long as I remember I could never see myself doing anything in particular or getting into a specific career. I went from one course to another with some in-between years, but all ended in jack shit. I've been cracking my skull over what the hell I want to do with myself for the last 9 months or so and I still don't have anything concrete.
I kind of want to go back to school and try to get into something like health and fitness, as vague as that is, because I used to work out and that was the only thing I've felt anything close to 'passionate' about aside from video games. Though I'm reluctant to do so because doing so would set me up for potential failure and if I fail again I'll have nothing left. I'm not getting any younger and wasting another potential ~4 years with nothing to show for it may as well break me.
I've been in this paralyzing state of doubt for too long and I don't know how to break it. I know where I'm headed if I stay like this and it scares the crap out of me, but after so many tries I don't want to risk trying again if I'm this uncertain about my one option.

Beat Warcraft 2. Playing some 7th Guest, I honestly just want to get through it and put it in the "done" pile at this point. I respect the game and the history it has, and the music is great…the game play is slow and meh.
Also played 10 or so hours in Torment: Tides of Numenera when it was free. Plays like a goddamn dream in Mint, which is nice. Wins the award for the most engaging Myers-Briggs test I've ever taken. Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days
I'm in chapter 4 and thoroughly enjoying the game so far. I can't believe I waited so long to play the sequel after I played Disgaea DS some 8~10 years ago.
I'm still trying to figure out the Felony system though because I only glanced through the tutorial, not paying it much mind. A part of me hopes it isn't TOO important though; I abhor going to the Item World.
I also already obtained a copy of Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention that I have waiting on standby; don't worry, I bought it used.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine
It's been pretty fun so far, I'm almost done with Chapter 6. I'm having a blast, and this is a nice game to off-set Disgaea 2's slower pace, as you're just eviscerating every Ork in your way as you go through the story.
Any suggestions for other Warhammer games that aren't traditional RTSes? I'm really digging all the lore that's in this universe, on top of just how goddamned bad-ass most everything is.
I also really liked If the Emperor Had a Text-To-Speech Device. Which is what piqued my curiosity into Warhammer 40k in the first place.

Those aside, my copies of Lollipop Chainsaw and Lost Odyssey came in the other day, with Shadows of the Damned coming in sometime before the 30th. There's also a copy of BulletGirls 2 on the way, but it won't be here for 3 weeks.
I can't believe I started another JRPG though. I've yet to move beyond Chapter 4 of Trails in the Sky SC. It's still sitting there, waiting for me. I haven't made any real progress in that game since March.
I also haven't touched Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in a long while either. I don't remember what chapter I was on, but I had just watched that stage show.

I recently discovered a couple of great metal bands: Skelator, Valor, Sons of Crom, Solstice, and Wilderun. I'm particularly enjoying Skelator and Wilderun.
Skelator is a pretty sweet call-back to classic metal; meanwhile, Wilderun is "epic metal," which is pretty goddamned fantastic sounding. I never knew it was a real subgenre.
Solstice, Valor, and Sons of Crom are all pretty nice too, but Skelator is the one that REALLY takes the cake for me. I'll link some Skelator and Wilderun as the thread goes on tonight.

I don't know how I'm going to get through all these games I've taken out of my backlog and prioritized as "must-plays." Essentially another backlog, just with the fat trimmed.
Unfortunately, a large chunk of my list consists of JRPGs, which I'm terrible about burning out on after the first 30~40 hours.
I've also been slacking on my working out and my CompTIA A+ lessons these last three weeks and much to my chagrin, I gained 7 pounds back., but I'm getting back on it again with both.

After that, if she spotted me, she would approach me and give me smiles and act a little flirty, but she acted like that when she wanted to be just friends. She once asked me to her birthday but I knew it would be a sausage fest, so I said no.
I started avoiding her more, but I ended up waiting around to test the waters and try and speak with her again. That's when she called me creepy and I got pissed and walked off. 2 days later, she walked right up to me and tried to apologize but at that point my body reacted with repulsion and I just walked off. That's the last time we talked.
I honestly would have gone out with her if she would apologize and just say she wanted to try again, but with her playing at ignoring me, I'm fed up again, and disappointed that it affected me.

It's not necessarily the plotline itself. Simply the way it's narrated is bad for the heart. While reading the latter part of the book I can't help but be uneasy. The narrator already vaguely let the dear readers know what the end result is, but knowing it is coming yet not knowing when just makes me more on edge as a scrutinize every word, worried about when it'll come. Props to Nabokov for being able to convey such a thing with relatively simple English (aside from the occasional French and obscure Latin-derived words), but I honestly needed a break from it. It was affecting my mood.

Bro, Gon is just a energetic child with some natural talent due to his bloodline. He isn't unbeatable. In fact, most of the other characters can easily beat him. Sure, he's a lot stronger than your average Joe, but the HXH universe has a large gap between Hunters and the average citizen. Power-levels seem to be exponential. The reason people are drawn to him is likely because he has a completely straightforward personality. People were similarly drawn to his father as well. However, his character is not flawless. There are, in fact, various inherent flaws to his character. If you don't really care about some minor spoilers later in the show Gon and Killua encounter a appraiser of goods who used to get by making counterfeits. He is embarrassed whenever he sees his counterfeits being sold in the marketplace and try ad buy them back. Gon and Killua use Nen (you'll figure out about it later) to attempt to buy things in the market for cheap that were made by talented people who poured Nen into their creations without realizing it. They identify these counterfiets as having been made by a talented artisan and thus bid on them back and forth with the appraiser (they don't meet in person as they're bidding). The appraiser is taken aback, wondering why someone is spending so much money to buy his "shitty counterfeits." He follows them, does them a favor when they're about to get ripped off, and then explains why he approached them. Gon becomes purely curious and asks about techniques that counterfeiters use. The appraiser notes to himself that Gon has absolutely no sense of right and wrong, not even registering that he ripped people off with counterfeits. He goes on to say that this mindset is very dangerous, especially for somebody that will have to make tough choices like a hunter. This mindset of Gon's and immaturity does have consequences later I'd recommend you at least make it through the tournament arc before dropping it completely. The show isn't as amazing as some people might say it is and certainly has its bullshittery, but I think among long-running shounens it stands out a bit. Madhouse put their all into some of the fight scenes and it really shows. Still, it doesn't really have a strong start. I'm actually willing to watch it with you anon. Don't have anything better to do and I would certainly enjoy the company.

I'm not exactly sure where you are. Do you remember pic related at all? Well, at the end of the day there's no reason to force yourself to watch it. I though the payoff was adequate enough (much more satisfying than most long-running shows), but it really suffers from being over-hyped. Too bad the manga probably won't ever be finished. They are now on a boat in the manga and it's giving me flashbacks to a certain other manga that also has long hiatuses.
