I wasn't impressed with the first GPD Win. It had serious quality issues which made actual use difficult/impossible. Sucks because when it worked it was really fucking cool, like Lost Planet 2 ran at full speed on low settings (up until the game crashed the intel HD graphics drivers).

In the end I donated mine as it wasn't really useful for anything.

Realistically, probably better off with a smaller, lighter computer of recent respect (maybe an X220?) but then it doesn't fit in a pocket, which was the real appeal of the Win in the first place IMO.

It's only $700. I bought one during the campaign ($600). I work full time (40 hours a week) and play it for about 36 of those hours. Rest of the time I'm taking a shit, eating, or pretending to be working. It's the sort of thing that really pays for itself. My only issue is that it seems to be giving me a shooting pain below my wrist, along the arm if I use it for too long. Anyway, mathwise, I make $15 an hour ($5 of that goes to taxes) so it only took me 60 hours to pay for this. That's not even 2 weeks. Makes me happy.

I stream from my pc to my tablet with moonlight and the latency is about 50-100ms, it's acceptable for a lot of casual games (2d castlevanias, sm4sh, gta games, mario games, dissidia final fantasy, anything that's not online/competitive (of which even less are on gamepad, maybe rocket league) and/or pixel-perfect accuracy). It's way better than wasting so much fucking money. Also, never ever buy trash console that have a built-in analog stick where you have to buy a whole new system to replace the worn down analog stick

That thing is the kind of the form-factor that I've always wanted in a laptop since the 90's, but hasn't been technically possible until the 2010's. I'm considering buying one, but I'm waiting to see how hacking the Switch plays out. The Switch has a huge benefit over this IMO, and that is an analog stick breaks, you don't have to replace the entire system.
