Disgaea 5.
They even went as far as taking the demo down and claiming that it had bugs, then delayed the release for paying customers by some number of weeks.
So, the pirates had the game for a few weeks more than paying customers did.
This is compounded by the fact that Disgaea is their biggest moneymaker. It's not like "dropping your ice cream cone on the ground," it's like "dropping a month's worth of groceries in an incinerator"

I've lost track, how many times have NISA completely fucked up their release of Ys 8? It's got to be about 3 or 4 by now.

Not really. I heard a rumor that it was the Nips that threatened NISA and that's the reason they decided to retranslate the game in the first place.

At least 4 as of now, if you're *only* including "complete" fuck ups. On top of that,
>$60 price point; almost reasonable, but Ys 7 was less than half the price.
>Extended the launch DLC prices by a month as a show of goodwill - despite, as I mentioned, not having the game fixed by the end of that month.
>DLC costs an extra $25, and is mostly "items it looks like you could get in game," making it a pay to win scheme…for a 1 player game.
There is a reason I am active in this thread and invested in keeping it alive. Despite my earlier smug anime girl posting, I'm sincerely furious about this extreme butchery of this port. This makes no sense whatsoever.
There was also a rumor that went around that NIS yakuza'd NISA and everyone was replaced
That was a load of bullshit that was clearly intended to make people think they were salvageable or not shit, don't be a fucking retard
the biggest reason was that there was a huge mailing campaign directly to Falcom's offices and people were vocal and pissed about it most likely, either that or NISA's president noticed how shit it was (which is unlikely, but possible given how disastrous it actually fucking was) since he was the one who issued the apology for it

There are PSVita emulators. It's possible that a fan translator could play around with the PSVita version, translate *that*, and we could emulate it. It wouldn't be an honest PC version, but it would at least be playable on a PC.

Not really. It depends how the files are encrypted (if at all). Then you need to find a programmer to make a special program to decrypt and unpack the game files, find out how the text is stored, extract those files, retranslate the game from scratch, make a program to inject said text, make a program to repack the files and then have it run on the system.
