STALKER is one that comes to mind that's very debated. A lot of people love the atmosphere and will forgive some of the janky aspects of it.
As for ones that I don't really like, personally, there's Morrowind, Rune Factory, Hollow Knight and Early generations of Pokemon (since no one likes the new ones).

I enjoyed Fallout 1 and 2 for there stories and worlds. I can get easily immersed in these games but I do see where your coming from, both games have really bland, cookie-cutter crpg combat and a shit-ton of bugs. But, I guess is a subjective thing.

I kind of already stated it, the Fallout games have a) bad controls, b) bad inventory systems, c) low main game content (and low overall for Fallout 1), d) shallow character building that's mostly meaningless because the games are trivial to beat. Even the first Exile game does better in all of these categories even if its spellcasting system involves a lot of tedious clicking. But Exile III absolutely humiliates them.
