It made very little, and now bioware is now on its last leg with anthem. They say dragon age 4 is in the works, but if anthem fails, DA4 is canned. Now if anthem succeeds, DA4 will most likely succeed and after that maybe enough time would've passed so that they can make a new MA game.

I struggle to imagine a world in which Anthem is met with any measure of success. It seems like an entirely bland and forgettable scifi game. The only time I see it mentioned anywhere is when people bring it up as Bioware's "last chance." Nobody, not even Biodrones, are excited for it.

>>14802804

Cisquisition, Andromeda and DA2 had dozens of DLC planned for post release, but each game has bombed harder and support and DLC was cut almost immediately. Game breaking bugs like in DA2 where a few low level combat spells crash the game were never fixed.

Also the dev menu for ME3 was patched out after a few weeks of being out, people just spawned all the unlocks and paid content for the PVE MP until they patched it out then removed all the paid content from the store.

If the faggots over at bungie don't get their shit together with Destiny, then anthem has more of a chance then you'd think. Their is a market for these shooting MMO, and the king of them has fallen from grace, all that the niggers at bioware have to do is release a less shitty version of it, without the EA microtransaction stink from the swbf2

2c5bae No.14802947

>>14802905

Anthem definitely feels like Bioware's version of Destiny. Given the abject failure of that IP, I don't know why Bioware would try to emulate it. It's especially confusing when Bioware's only claim to fame, even in light of recent failures, is their story-driven singleplayer experiences. I can only think that some retard in a suit in upper management decided that hopping on that bandwagon would be profitable enough to save the studio.

If EA was smart, they'd hand Bioware a Star Wars project. If they were really smart, they'd have them work on KotOR3. I'm not saying that Bioware would be capable of making a good Star Wars RPG but the brand name alone would be enough to trick retards into buying it.

2c5bae No.14802967

>>14802936

>Their is a market for these shooting MMO

Is there? I figured Destiny's repeated failures would burn people out on the entire genre. I definitely feel that Bioware's Anthem is a soulless and reactionary attempt to jump aboard a train that's already crashed.

Even assuming that it's competently designed, do you think Anthem could stand up to the likes of PUBG or the next Battlefield title?

Gotta admit, like FC5 you end up playing the legit good guys, In the divisions case you play the government approved RWDS killing fags, commies, terrorists and dindus who are plundering Jew york.

Pubg and battlefield are different kinds of games from Destiny, so anthem doesn't need to stand up to them. Also, people aren't burnt out on the social shoot mmo, cause there haven't been many of'em. we are in a market saturated with battle royal and previously with hero shooters, Destiny is really the only choice for social shoot mmos, that's why I think anthem has a chance. Bioware fans think lowly of the company, so if anthem is mediocre but still better then Destiny, they will cling on to it and think it's better then it really is.

I remember seeing employees in Best Buy taking unopened copies of the game off of the shelves behind the registers, packing them into boxes, and taking them into the back. Any new ME was going to bomb. They killed the series with 3. 2 set up the rope and knot around the neck and then 3 jumped off the edge. A real shame, as ME1 was good despite its massive flaws. 2 should have been a big fix for all the wrongs and a story around researching the Reapers, investigating ways to fight them, perhaps some kind of civil war is brewing from Reaper sleeper agents. We didn't get a proper sequel though, we got ME2 which was admittedly a better GAME but a far worse RPG and story. The EA interference was obvious from the outset and the series truly died with the merger.

Also they were too lazy with the animation that they created the two new alien races in a way that they would work with the same skeleton used for the turians and the salarians. This also explains why the salarians are as tall as the turians in ME:A.

The Angaran character design is the worst of all, it looks like a WIP that got approuved after 1 pass at Zbrush. I don't have a picture of them on my pc but if you look at their hands, you could see that they have 5 fingers but the middle, ring and little fingers are glued to each other because the devs didn't bother to make only 3 fingers and a dedicated skeleton for that species.

<ME:A is a failure

>none of the mass effect games were good anyway and ME:A had a massive talent drain by EA to work on another game instead of finishing the current one

<no one bought Mirror's Edge Catalyst

>it was a shitty open world game that didn't cater to mirrors edge fans who wanted more or new comers who would be interested in a niche concept

<Destiny 2 is a failure

>The problems from the first are worse and the staff working on it didn't know what they were doing

gamergay historical revisionism will ultimately lead to an e-celeb fueled existence in perpetual mediocrity.

Cisquisition got three separate singleplayer campaigns, the last one giving a conclusive end to the storyline and lots of multiplayer shit. While I am not arguing that this made Cisquisition a financial success, it was more than what Andromeda got.

Her supporters will always rub on gamers' face that it was harassment that pushed her into fame. What they don't know is that they made a lot of harm to causes that they probably care about in name of personal gain of quacks like her.

I can't be the only one who prefers the gameplay in one. Never mind the horrific decision to have universal cooldowns on abilities in 2 (never played 3 because why the fuck would I). Never mind the vastly lower number of abilities in 1. Just the ability to modify your weapons to be able to lower weapon heating to make your weapons be able to fire infinitely without stopping made it a far more pleasant experience to play with than generic cover shootar#73.

Also they really fucked up by removing the immense customization in later games. Turning Garrus into a 1-shotting cannon with explosive rounds, making Wrex a super tank with damage reduction upgrades and having him charge in. Shit it even made the teammates who would be useless in combat usually (Kaiden and Liara) able to hold their own by the end with the shield boosters and damage increases.

I apologetically love mass Effect 1. Fuck everything after it.

That might be true, but >>14804288 is also correct. There was a picture floating around that compared ME3 Ashley's appearance with some tranny porn star. The resemblance was uncanny. Whether this was intentional on Bioware's part or just coincidence, I don't know.

There was an image floating around for a while of whole boxes of deluxe edition copies from Target, sitting in a Goodwill. They couldn't even get enough fanboys to buy up all the good goy copies. If that's not an indication of the biggest flop in AAA history, I don't know what is.

What is proper proportion? IIRC height=8 heads.

ME1 - 8.5 heads, ME:A - 7. Wow

95021c No.14805373

>>14805341

The real problem is the legs. In an ideal figure 6' 2'' the crotch is halfway to the bottom of heels, as you start making the figure lower and lower the head starts getting larger and eventually you get stuff like anime girls where the proportions are 4 or 5 heads.

So yeah, this guy has the proportions of a 5' 4'' foot manlet.

Someone really should remake this with a proper shot of the new guy. The image used is viewing him from a slight downward angle, which makes him look shorter. He'd still be shorter but at least it wouldn't be the equivalent of a bullshot.

You know, Unity could've easily been a genuinely good game. Outside the story, it easily has the best gameplay of the series. If they altered the progression, improved AI, tweaked eagle vision, removed 90% of collectibles (not the riddles), and made the UI less of an eyesore, it'd actually be quite good. One of the nice things about the map is that because there were so many landmarks and such that I could disable the mini-map and not be lost. I enjoyed the game when I was first playing it, but then I just uninstalled it before the final mission because I felt I explored everything I needed to.

If we were to go into the larger fixes, that would be completely rewriting the story, reintroducing the multiplayer, making coop not just mission only, and having all enemies exist in the world like it's Shadow of War, which is a novelty that I greatly enjoyed and added a lot of color to what was otherwise unremarkable.
