So i found out Nanashi No Game, my holy grail of jp only DS games got a full english patch. I tried running it in an emulator but its one of those 'you need to hold the ds like a book on its side' type things so unless you want hard taco neck on a monitor its trash.

So i was thinking of getting a new R4 but i have seen there is a new '2018 r4 gold' and im wondering if its better than the old one which was infamous for corruption and damaging the pins inside the ds console itself.

Anyone got any experience with the new ones? did they improve at all? and how do they work on 3ds?

I have an r4i gold with I think the wood firmware, haven't used it in a while but it never gave me any problems on my ds lite, 3ds, or new 3ds. just gets detected as some japanese konami game.

I think it only affects r4's from a certain site. I haven't had issues with that. Apparently if it happens to you, just change the date on your device or flash a new kernel to it like ysmenu

I've got an R4i that keeps wiping my saves every few days. No idea what the fuck it is, I've tried changing the save sizes manually, seemed to help for a while but poof, my SRW W save is blank again.

I even bought it from their recommended dealer.
