It's a poorly optimized, PS2 looking piece of shit with random frame drops and absolutely no fun to be had anywhere. It's also the most basic BR game out there. At least Fortnite and some of the other ones are pretending to do something original.

The hacker problem is mostly gone these days. If you were playing a few months ago, it was awful. Hackers ruined almost every game. But I think all the chinks have moved on, because I don't run into it much anymore. It's rare these days. I still have a hard time recommending it though, because the devs don't fix bugs and are a bunch of jews.

I fucking hate this genre as much as you do. Fuck, I had to give in and play this piece of shit for 30 hours because my best friend is in the middle of his normalfag pretention phase and I've been through enough shit with him to accept a gifted game and waste a few hours of my life on mantaining a friendship. Same shit with Fortnite.

For all its stupid flaws, PUBG is by far a more competent shooter than that other piece of shit. Guns are relatively accurate, map knowledge actually matters somewhat (and maps themselves aren't glorified empty planes in shitty 2006 WoW graphics), the gameplay sandbox is far more flexible and first person only servers were a good call, and by far the closest thing to fun you'll have in this shitty genre.

That doesn't mean it's good, no, but it's better than a piece of shit of a F2P game filled with 13 year olds where you fix your mistakes by playing Minecraft for 5 minutes before in the middle of nowhere, pop a set of walls and call it a day; and you have to get lucky and get a shotgun, a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher because all other weapons are inaccurate pieces of trash with awful RNG spread you have no control over if you want to win, considering the entire fucking genre is built around mid to long range engagements with low TTK where relative stealth is your best tool, and to close in gaps you have to build the chinese wall of "LOOK I'M HERE HERE I COME FOR YOU TAKE OUT THAT SHOTGUN OR ROCKET AND JUST FUCKING KILL ME" that only literal inbred retards fail to take advantage of. Actual aim and individual player skill be fucking damned.

PUBG is a piece of shit, but Fortnite is disgustingly designed trash that feels like an insult to whoever may enjoy this awful walking simulator genre in the first place.

Sounds like someone fell for the old "build a staircase to kill that newbie" trick. Pubg is fucking shit but fortnite is way better than that slugfest just because of the building. Caught out in the open? well you can build walls to protect yourself if you get ambushed unlike pubg where it's your death sentence. No guns? No problem start going full lv 100 engineer and out build that motherfucker and walk him into a trap spike. Most weapons have spread but the first shot is always accurate and is the most important.

Do what I did, and tell them you'll only play it with them if they buy it for you. They will either stop asking you or they will buy it for you, in which case you have nothing to lose really, except maybe your time.

The game is an awful technical mess and has a crazy amount of cheaters (but they seem to come and go on a weekly basis as the anti-cheat hands out ban waves). The gunplay isn't bad but the terrible frame rate and general lag/hitreg issues really take a shit over what little good is in the game.

Don't forget to change the keybindings so you can steamline switching between weapons and structures. Personally I use Q for wall, and both my mouse thumb buttons for stairs and floors. F is for my shotgun slot and 1 for my rifle slot. It's less error prone and faster than using the mousewheel.

Exactly. I've played a bunch of game nights here and I'm always surprised how poorly everyone plays. The grand majority here are average to low skilled with a very small group of upper-skill players. There's no excuses for it, either. There's been game nights for DOOM, Insurgency, all sorts of shooters so there's been chances for whatever games anons "main". Yet it's always the same.

I consistently reached top 3 of the leaderboards on D2 gamenight with 300 ping and I don't even play the game. There was no special net compensation or anything like that- everyone just moved like bots so it was easy to predict. Their movement alone says everything you need to know about player quality here.
