Something cool and overlooked in AVP1999 is the amount of fan service when it comes to level design.
There's a level that resembles the Nostromo from Alien, there's a level that takes place on the Hadley's Hope colony, there's the level that takes place on the motherfucking Sulaco, there's the depressing prison planet level from Alien 3 and there's jungle levels for the Predator or the mysterious alien temple.
The game had no story whatsoever, it was just a fast-paced FPS like all the other arena shooters of its time, but it managed to capture the atmosphere of the movies so well.
Alien: Isolation is a 10/10 as well. It's probably one of the most faithful film-to-game adaptations ever made. True to its source material in the most smallest of details.
