Casualizes everything, removes a ton of stuff from the roiginals, makes it worse than the console spinoff despite being a mix of the original games and the console spinoff, adds DLC and microtransaction kikery to it despite DICE promising not to charge for maps, forces Origin, uses a setting that was already used and pretty much killed both the franchise and the original remaining team members at DICE while removing most of the fun features of the originals and spinoffs plus removed mod support.

Jokes aside, one of the few things that I liked about BotW was how relentless it could be at the beginning. Guardians could fuck you up and one shot you if you weren't careful. It got pretty easy very quick, but that beginning was enjoyable. I would have loved to have seen these guardians with that approach, them stalking you at night to one-shot you. Would have made the game so much more interesting.

If memory serves me right, it ended up getting scrapped due to being made in Unity, and Disney not approving of that due to wanting creative control over the game engine. EA is cancerous as fuck, but Spore's decline wasn't their doing according to literally every insight we have into development. I own both fucking artbooks, both of tthem talk at length about the split in the team and the dispute over the game's tone, as does a ton of interviews.

Fan translations and subtitles are dead and fansubbers/fantranslators commited seppuku by isolating themselves on internet circlejerks and misplaced secret club mentality, aswell as getting high on their own ego and desperate claims of e-fame.
The average pleb who would pirate an anime doesn't even know nyaa exists and almost all fansubbing groups were boycotting any website that wasn't nyaa by the time it died for literally no reason.
The average pleb who would play a japanese "game" with a fan translation doesn't know whatever secret dank hacker forum that had its peak of popularity in 2003 the author released it in.
I've had people say "b-but muh isolating plebs from our community so they don't kill it" but it's not like torrenting websites have a community and what really happens is the only animes those plebs consume are the garbage that makes it to the west through funimation or whatever, which would be less popular if the plebs had more to pick from and anime wouldn't be going so far down the shitter.
Anime was never once an isolated community anyway, it's stupid to try to make it one. At least try to channel the plebs into doing the least damage.
When it comes to fan translations it's even worse, they tend to be really desperate (and shitty) people wanting to get some interwebz friends and fame so their choice way to do it is enter a forum with an userbase of 300 people who have been posting in the place since 1996 and then their work is spread by word of mouth by fans often leading to most people not knowing there's a fan translation around because chances are there aren't that many communities someone who would stick to a forum for 20 years goes to.
Another thing, I've seen translation/subbing groups act all high and mighty and do things like say "look at me I don't put my group name anywhere in my own release I'm so ethical" even though being noble is a recipe for fucking yourself over for not a single benefit to anybody, and not putting a "translated by faggot" text anywhere within your release makes yet another group of people don't know you exist: your own fucking userbase.
I've so many times downloaded the fan translation of some shitty japanese game with links given by anons and not given a single fuck for whoever translated it because I couldn't be assed to look it up as they didn't even have a text naming themselves on the options menu or whatever.
I've so many times downloaded anime from a group that restyled someone else's subs and found them nice but didn't know who did it because they never mentioned who originally subbed the anime and didn't feel like finding and joining their sekrit klub to ask. Again, they could just put a "translated by faggot" text somewhere in the OP/ED and nobody would give a shit.
I know a lot of subbers go to cuckchan, but even before it went to shit I always felt they were retards who did not understand the website's culture but only adopted it because they were forced to and then applied it in places in which it doesn't make sense because it became a habit.
