AAA vidya is on its way out and we're going to see more high profile studios go under before the major publishers circle the wagons around one or two tentpole franchises and run them until they can be assured its safe to kill and replace them. Already happening with CoD, for instance.

The character is just a bit of lighthearted fun through exaggeration, yeah making fun of overly horny guys - but not in a judging manner. It's not "holding a mirror to the player". The guy is more of a playful joke on otakus - the phenomena of people who go to extremes to devote themselves to an activity - because in Japan, they have a more collectivist culture than in the west - where your occupation (or your hobbies) takes on a much more influential impact on your self-identity. It does the same thing multiple other characters - most notably Pocket Circuit Fighter, and like PCF, you end up befriending Mr. Libido. If anything, it's a lesson on not really judging a person on their passions.
He seems to rely on the viewer having not played any of the Yakuza games, because anyone who has, would know that they are absolutely crammed full of fun little lewd scenarios, minigames, and activities. It's obvious from the context that they're not using it as a "subversion" of sexist attitudes to wag it's finger at the player. Yakuza revels in it's lewdness.
