>Climb on wall - every little bump screws up your camera

>While running through the ventilation system you can just hold W and arrive at your destination without any accidental turn-arounds and without camera dizziness.

>Be on train or vehicle - your character constantly lags behind and even falls off the train

>While on the train or vehicle you can even jump and you will never fall off of it.

>Your character feels like a cat when he jumps, crouches, speeds up. He also hang onto cliffs and can land on any moving platform. He can play football, basketball, mini-golf, you name it. He can run through an obstacle course with ease.

>Your character feels like it's dragging along boulders tied at the end of a rope and his weapon weights so heavy he can't shoot while running, and he cannot make a simple jump worth a shit. He also can't move crates. His grandmother can beat him at an obstacle course.

>Your bullets land with 100% accuracy and your automatic bullet spread is actually large. Your 100 bullets actually count and feel like you have 100 bullets for 100 targets, if not 300 targets.

>Only 1/10 of your bullets land, your bullet spread is tiny, yet all over the place. You shoot 10 bullets/s but only 1 lands where you want it to. You have 100 bullets, but it only feels like they're enough for at max 10 enemies.

>You take damage from falling 25 feet.

>You take damage from falling 5 feet.

>Grenades splash damage - 25%(if 10 feet away from you), 50%(if 5 feet away from you), 85%(if right next to you), 100% damage(if right beneath you)

> -100% (if 10 feet away from you)

> 0% (if 5 feet away from you), but 100% (if 4 feet away from you)

DLC = always bad

If you wanna play as Bayonetta, Ryu, or Cloud in Smash, they weren't included in the base game, which means you gotta pay for them.

If you wanna play as Link or Isabelle in Mario Kart, it's the same thing again. They weren't included in the base game and you gotta pay for them.

My problem with DLC is their content is really cool or neat sometimes, but the price tag for little extras is almost never worth it.

DLC is obviously a bad practice in videos games to anyone with a brain, but this annoying crap still deserves to be shit on at every opportunity.

Ehh I wanted to talk more about very detailed gameplay stuff. Not really that.

For example compare the handling of the cars in Need For Speed compared to Grand Theft Auto 3, San Andreas and 5. (While ignoring the near superman invincibility of the cars in Need For Speed compared to GTA where one little bump destroys your whole hood and risks your car to explode)

>When you make any type of heal, you get a delay to receive the effect or it's gradual. Also depending on the type of item used, it's only temporary and diminishes it's effect over-time. Using strong healing items causes a side effect such as dizziness, temporary loss of awareness or impairment of action on character.

>You heal instantly regardless of the item or action used with no side-effect whatsoever.

Is this what you're looking for OP?

>While on the train or vehicle you can even jump and you will never fall off of it.

wouldn't this technically be correct since the momentum from standing on the train is still with you?

dae528 No.14734200

>>14734149

Yes, reminds me of the many ways of healing your character in Guild Wars 1.

Or the shitty healing potions from Elder Scrolls.

The healing mechanic from Dungeon Siege 1 compared to DS 2 killed it from me. From instant heal to health regeneration. Only the nature spells offered instant heal.

>Moving down a slope, or standing on a vertically moving platform, has you constantly alternating between falling and not

Hope you like stuttery, stiff physics because air control is so different from ground control. And good luck getting a jump to register, if you're technically in the air for a split second you can't do shit.

>Moderately steep little hills are like trying to climb a mountain of butter for your character

Trying to ascend an area with hills like this, like a natural environment, means jumping around like an idiot until you find the one spot you can force yourself up.

>Can still jump a brief time after you start falling

Little things like this make a game feel very relaxing to play, and it would negate errors from poorly coded physics like above.

BAD

>Fast paced movement based game (ie Warframe)

>Any small bump on vertical surfaces has a collision, breaking the flow of movement.

>While running through the ventilation system you can just hold W and arrive at your destination without any accidental turn-arounds and without camera dizziness

Can you explain this to me? Sounds interesting…

51e593 No.14734941

>>14734173

Yes. Unless the vehicle is moving up or down then it would have a more visible effect and if it's going up or down to fast trying to jump would either be impossible or ill advised.

This, assuming no significant air resistance.

Compare the camera movement as an alien in Natural Selection 1 & 2 and AVP 2010 compared to AvP 1 & 2.

In the latter your camera goes upside down just like your player.

In Natural Selection your PoV camera maintains its perspective even while your player is upside down.

And it doesn't move, bounce and flip flop around like your player does whenever you meet a corner or a bump in the floor/wall/ceiling.

Same for select Spiderman games and scenes where you have to climb ceilings and walls.

Porn games

>You play as a girl

>You take damage from the sex scenes

>The artwork looks like MS Paint or is actually pixel art. It's a stiff and shitty minigame platformer.

>You play as the guy

>You try to flirt with the girl and unlock the sex scene.

>And you unlock 24 poses and it's easy and doesn't take long.
