How about a little Japan and Europe? Considering we didn't actually get any PS2 Sandlot games in NA other than Robot Alchemic Drive (which PAL didn't get).
>>14730464
Kind of silly, but PAL didn't get any of the games (main ones at least) prior to that one at the time. I suppose Square wanted to avoid a question of "where's the other seven?"

>Why though?
In non english-speaking European countries, there are people who believe "bros" is Mario's surname or something, some people even call the character "Mario Bros", so i guess it's to make sure those people know that it's the same character that they add the "bros" everywhere.

This kind of encapsulates everything wrong with American covers.
The cover gives away a lot of horror aspect of the game. The European cover leaves a lot more to the imagination. Not knowing what the monster looks like and the buildup to actually seeing it and then reading about how it was created are what left such an impression on my mind from the game. If I saw the US cover beforehand the game probably wouldn't have been nearly as good because it blows kind of the main thing about the game before you even buy it.

With both titles actually being pretty decent for the games, it lends itself well to the modern reboot/relaunch titling question (that being "do we keep the traditional title or rebrand it with the japanese title that everyone on the internet knows about?") simply by implementing some clever subtitling:
USA: Streets of Rage - Bare Knucle
JP: Bare Knuckle - Streets of Rage

I got the admit, there was one good thing out of Europe, more specifically the UK back when the UK wasn't as cucked. The fucking commercials. Nintendo had Rik Mayall doing their ads, because Sega was kicking their ass in the European market along with their amazing "Sega TV" ads.
Fuck, I miss Rik Mayall. Bottom was the shit.

Here's the Sega ads for reference. They actually used billboards in real life that advertised fake products then become "vandalized" by Sega pirates. Yes everyone, Sega used to have amazing marketing. Blame Japan for fucking up what they had.

Magician's Quest was Enchanted Folk in Europe. In addition, the European version edited out the classical music soundtracks in the game, which there were a lot of. I think the European version's name sounds better than even the Japanese version, which was basically "Pointy Hat and 365 Days of Magic."
Still prefer the international music over the European, though.

Not sure, it's not a very well documented game. Something else to note that's kind of interesting about the game is that Komani went full high time preference with it by releasing a new one every year with only an expansion pack worth of content added each time. Really stupid business-wise because people got burned out pretty quickly and the end result is the west only got the first game which could be argued to be the most incomplete.

b6b118 No.14741648
>>14741294
I think that the name actually comes from the game content, especially since the "365 days of magic" part is the subtitle. Without going into too much detail, you can get a mystery to solve every week and there's about 52 in total which adds up to a year.
The second game "Pointy Hat and the Magic Shop" added player owned shops.
The third game "Pointy Hat and the Fashionable Magic User" added fashion shows and some kind of fashion system I haven't figured out yet.
The last game on the 3DS "Pointy Hat and The City of Magic" added in a mall to make use of streetpass.
Each game added in something to the previous ones, making the 3DS one released in 2012 the most complete version. It would have probably gone down better if they just finished the game before releasing it, though.
Also, after the first game the games took a sharp turn towards appealing to girls, maybe that's why they were able to make 3 years of releases.
