Partially because she actually played a Tank Druid in bear form, partially because she was an actual mother (two adult children, IIRC), and partially because she always had an open ear for everyone's worries. I tried getting friends into Ultima Online. Granted, EA had ruined it by 2003, but a lot of people still found it to be "old" and "inaccessible". Anything not 3D by then just looked outdated. I was never one for EverQuest-styled games.
WoW PvP has always been trash, though, so I've avoided it. Blizzard tried to push Battlegrounds and it failed, so they went towards Arena combat, which is boring because it exposes the flaws of the core gameplay. Of course, Blizzard hates player creativity and users exploiting odd mechanics, so they hate world PvP or any kind of odd builds or gearsets that circumvent their intentions and let players have fun.
Ultimately, I probably spent less than few hours total playing with people I met outside of the game… and my main character had months of /played time.
I was never the best at leveling in MMOs. A lot of earlier sandbox games didn't really necessitate it to enjoy things. But people I know in real life are so much worse. Literally couldn't break level 10 a lot of the time without getting distracted. I took months to level to 60 because I'd get bored and spend a week in Trade Chat talking to people, but I still got there.
Only friends I know who still play are casualfags who play DotA and Hearthstone and more or less are into WarCraft derivatives (ironically, none of these people like WarCraft III all that much) and will probably play it until the game dies entirely or finally manages to piss them off. They mostly played the opposite faction on other servers anyways. My home server sucked but it's where someone I knew once played. Awful way to choose a server, but I guess in the grand scheme of things it's no worse than "because I could connect to it on launch day".
I lost interest after Cataclysm when I didn't have the interest in starting the grind from scratch to start raiding again, my guild at the time was lethargic, and most of my long-time in-game friends had disappeared. Tried taking a break, leveling up alts in the reworked world. Ultimately, found it to be less interesting somehow. Quests had more gimmicks, sure, but basically each zone was one giant quest chain now. No more walking in to a town of exclamation points. Just not as satisfying.
Too bad there's no interest in Wrath servers. Classic WoW will be fun, if the fanbase isn't cannibalized by custom servers that are already established. Modern WoW actually doesn't look super terrible, all things considered… but there's no way I'm paying monthly to spend a week re-leveling. Too much content has been skipped now. And for what? So I can compete for raid spots with people who've been doing it for longer?
Ironically the only thing that could get me to play again would be a mass of friends all deciding to play together and committing. Odds are basically none. Never thought I could be so nostalgic for a game I hate.

99.99% of guild dramas are caused by women. Don't ever invite women to any guild ever.
The other 0.01% is done by faggots who cannot follow leadership or kikes who try and mutiny the guild off you. This is why you don't allow girls in your guild or people who are not loyal or obedient. And if you're gonna kick someone who you don't like but has friends in the guild, make sure to ruin their friendship first, or at least until they have a very minor number of friends who won't react, then kick them.
You shouldn't bother with MMO guild shit anyway, WoW is plagued by normalfags. You go in, get your achievements and bag gear then get out. If they don't perform, you ditch to the next guild . And so forth.
If you want to play an Actual MMO and not WoW, then guild camaraderie is actually NEEDED because you can't solo content and networking helps.
But always ALWAYS ALWAYS avoid women on your guild unless it's a comfy real MMO where the more the merrier, just don't let them raid or take any important roles. And if they cause the smallest hint of drama just kick and block

It started because anons just wanted to play the game. So we did, and it went on with lots of great things until it peacefully died with the interest of anons in the game dying down (it is a shit game afterall). It wasn't drama as much as it was anons disagreeing with each other on certain points, which I don't like to call drama because it makes us seem like a bunch of vapid women who stop functioning at the face of conflict. I think the one that first comes to mind when thinking of a guild/clan drama story is how I was directly/indirectly responsible for its breakup.

>Kill silly hydra boss, it drops last piece of gear that I need, but also one of the officer's gf's needs - an officer that fucking hated my guts because I called out his gf for sucking when were both the same class and she didn't do her fucking job
>Long, awkward silence ensues that lasts about 15 minutes or so over the dead hydra's body, with the bracers being the last piece of gear on it, with me and the officer's gf being the only ones wanting it
I had never seen loot council take that long with one fucking piece of gear before. But it was going to have extreme consequences.

>Mull it over with other officers, I voted to keep it between us and keep an eye on them, while GM was basically like "fuck that" and decided to bring it up to them directly, along with the assurance that we didn't think anything of it
>The girl played the "woe is me" card over it, but again, we thought nothing of it at the time, so whatever
>The relationship ends up being mutually beneficial for a bit, with the guild running dungeons more often than usual, and having solid raid attendance
>About 2-3 weeks pass
>Clearing last boss of raid
>Girl uses Time Warp at wrong time, everyone was baffled
>Wipe on fight
>Refuses to use it again because "she didn't want to embarrass herself"

>Have an officer meeting after that raid, mostly talking about raiders that were underperforming, but bring up her drama, insisting that it stays between us for the time

>The next day, I foolishly get in voice while she's around, end up spilling spaghetti about the meeting, but describe it poorly
>She goes full paranoia mode, saying that everyone hates her, threatening to leave the guild and take "her boys" with her
>She constantly flip-flops what she wants to do guild-wise, between that, wanting to stay until we have a proper raid without her group, and wanting to make things work out in the long term
>Gets into arguments constantly with the officer that recruited her
>At one point, we were having an officer meeting, and she wanted in to talk about the drama
>We skeptically decide well, why the fuck not
>She ends up getting into an argument that lasts upwards of an hour with said officer
>That officer and another one, who is our raid lead, mull over quitting the game, and decide to not raid until something is done about them
>Meanwhile, she's trying to use me and my GM as wedges to split the guild in two, but despite both of our pleasant demeanors, we weren't having it in private
>We were sharing screencaps of conversations with her between us, showing how clearly unhinged she is, and how she keeps flipping narratives and levying unfounded accusations upon us
>Log on one night
>Literally not a minute after I log on, I start to get bombarded with messages from her, like 10 at a time before I can even respond to one
>Get accused out of "using" them to get the last boss down, out of fucking nowhere
>One thing leads to another, and she's insisting I gkick her and the people she came with
>Give my kicking foot a good workout
>The other officers breathe a sigh of relief, and return to raiding as normal, with some help with a different group of people that we recruited the week prior
>Never hear from her again
It's time like this I'm thankful the officer core consists of a hyper-autist, a couple, and a borderline ara.
90% of the girls that went through our guild were actually pleasant to play with.
