I skip days of play very often and I still have enough vials for a couple meta decks and then some fun ones. Since I don't enjoy Ramp Dragon I get to save a lot of vials. The only thing I don't like is that I don't have enough spare vials for more meme decks like OTK Fairy Dragon because I never pulled a single one and I'm not spending vials in that nearly useless lego.

After the total disaster that Wonderland Dreams expansion and tier 0 Neutral Blood were, they realized that making OP cards on purpose to push archetypes into the meta is retarded. Since then they started to nerf even legendary cards. And with the new division of formats, the most problematic sets are starting to rotate out. Currently there are some remnants of bad design left in Tempest of the Gods but that one is rotating out in 2 months, and the newer cards are in a much more acceptable power level.

I've played SW since when Bahamut was new. It's a chill game, but it is still a Hearthstone knock-off with anime tiddies, no use pretending it's anything more. SW lacks in RNG (thank fuck), but it's weakness is that there are a lot of 1-turn-kill decks. Shit like Forestcraft ruins the game for me. Rhinoceroach is a rare card that has been in the game since near the fucking beginning and is STILL the go-to card that is used for finishers and sees consistent play. If there are 2 classes that need to be nerfed into the fucking ground, they are Shadow and Forest.

There two formats now: Rotation (basic plus last 5 expansions) and Unlimited (all sets minus certain cards that are banned or limited to 1 copy). Roach was sent to unlimited along the Classic set. Now Forest is doing fine with other game plans. On the other hand, Shadow is currently the worst class in the game and the first one to receive card buffs.

The main thing Shadowverse has over hearthstone is the fact the game is quite generous with card packs and even if you don't spend a dime you can easily create a good strong netdeck that will carry you through rotation. On average each time you do dailies you get 1 pack so it's very insistent on you getting on the virtual treadmill and you feel like you are making progress because of the constant breadcrumbs they throw your way.
As a game SV is designed to end quickly so its not uncommon for sudden bursts of damage oneshotting you by turn 8-10. The evolve system gives the player an illusion of choice and can be more fun than it looks. As always with any card game that has been going for a couple of years there are hundreds of cards and decks you could make which, depending on how tistic you are will occupy your mind more than it should.

I couldn't stand this game. I came from Hearthstone as a legend rank player, so say what you will but I understand the fundamental dynamics of childrens' card games.
The SV meta was awful. Absolutely disgusting. You either play hyper aggro and rush down your opponent before they can do anything, or you build a million wards and one legendary like Ouroboros or Heavenly Aegis that simply wins the game if it hits the board. Every single card that makes it into ranked has the word "storm" or "ward" on it. That is the binary dynamic that is the meta. Board interaction just isn't a thing. Suppose it should be expected of soulless antpeople. I steamrolled to AA0 just spamming aggro blood and clicking on the opponent's face.
Keep in mind this was a couple years ago so if the meta's gotten better feel free to correct me.
