The problem is that these progressive writers aren't focused on creative comedy, or creativeness in general. They focus on shoving politically correct ideas into a cartoon show for children sprinkled with "le funni pop reference xd" here and there to make sure the targeted audience is still engaged just enough to continue watching. *VERY* rarely will a selected cartoon today make a decent joke worthy of a sensible chuckle and even then it's just a regular slapstick routine.

Personally I believe that's what make them so trash at anything related to art. Especially writing. They have no sense of humor. Their jokes can't have shock value because of political correctness. And being creative is subjective to what they say being creative means, not what it truly defines as for the same reason. You aren't allowed to step out of your comfort zone and true skill or effort is looked down as being a supremacist of some kind. That's why everything looks and sounds the same when they take the helm.

In comparison to x264/x265 which fully loads the threads and can motion search the entire frame instantly vs vp8/vp9/AV1 which searches a frame by first examining area's and then doing sector by sector?

I can encode x265 on medium settings, which is the same as vp9 on highest compression and do it at 3.4 FPS on my Ryzen encoding system and it's not even fully loaded, if I wanted to I could do parallel thread processing and make it even faster for the same small quality drop as you get from VP9 with tons of row searching

Google keeps trying to make new standards but they just won't do what it takes to make the encoders actually worth a fuck, vp9 is at most 2% worse than x265 but when you can encode a 1080p movie with x265 in 17 hours vs VP9 which would take weeks it's just not efficient

x265 could have been great if companies involved didn't become the uber jew in its usage, but the costs required to even play it is 4-6x that of x264, so nobody fucking bothered. That's why cell phones etc still only accelerate x264 natively and not x265 because the licenses are bullshit

Here's hoping VP10 (What AV1 will be called) google actually pays to get the encoding process improved, otherwise everyone will just stick with x264 and x265, and x265 you only see in the pirating scene because no costs involved

I can understand and give the kid some slack for tapping it once considering she might expect it to be the same as she's familiar with, it is unknown technology to her after all. But, what really irks me is that she keeps tapping it like she's expecting something to happen until she does instead of trying something else or even asking about it. You have to give small children a break where it's due even if she's fairly young around 3 or so, but I can't help but find this somewhat depressing. You'd think she'd have to have seen buttons somewhere else like on a TV remote, microwave, toys, etc and have at least some basic problem solving skills. I can't remember how old she was, but she was around the same size as the kid in the video and probably the same age. But she was like her dad, she loved to play video games. And never at any point did she try to brute her way through something by repeating it over and over again. Singularity was an interesting shooter that got gutted like a goddamn fish pre-release by Activision. I actually have some old gaming articles sitting (feel free to judge) in a pile and I remember reading about the game before it came out and half the things the person describes playing through in their demo version of the game didn't make it into the final cut. It's a shame, not because it could have been so much more, but because it *was* so much more and they fucking cut it down into a generic shooter. Although some interesting things still managed to shine through.
