Yakuza 6, Project Diva X, and dicking around with the costume pack for Shantae:HGH (which includes new gameplay modes to take advantage of the new costumes. Played through Dungeons & Dragons Chronicles of Mystara/Tower of Doom and Rise of the Triad.
Also, played Rise of the Tomb Raider since it was so far the only Tomb Raider game I hadn't played, and it was garbage. Didn't even have a final boss. You just have to sneak attack some asshole in a room that's on fire a few times. What the shit, honestly, at least nu-Tomb Raider 1 capped things off with the fight against Himiko.

What class you're playing as every generation changes, and certain events can only be completed properly with the right class or gender. You get punished by regular enemies for grinding too much and bosses for grinding too little, which adds a balance I find fun. Events don't all have to be done in a specific order, which gives you some freedom to explore. The magic and martial skills' progressions are frustrating, but rewarding. Most of all though, it's fun.

Been going back into The Surge since they released another free content pack, 3 new armors with corresponding weapons. They're all pretty gimmicky but they're fun gimmicks, one set gives you an AOE on a perfect block, another buffs weapons that have the codename prefix, and the most broken one basically buffs one type of chip to hell as well as giving you free health if you max out your "in combat" resource.

No, but there is a final boss.
There's a shit ton of items and mutations to unlock, I've played 14 hours of it so far. Does a lot of things I would make in my own perfect game like automated climbing over small ledges (like in AM2R), lots of damage cancelling maneuvers, pretty generous parry frame window, punishes you if you let your guard down even in the first level, current final level theme is a remix of first level theme. Encourages speedrunning. Here's a TL;DR from their steam page:
>Why Early Access?
“TLDR: Dead Cells is lots of fun right now, Early Access will make it even better. It'll last about 8 - 12 months. We will try to double the content. Right now you have about 16 - 20 hours on average for one playthrough. The price will probably increase during/after the EA. We will work very closely with the community to improve the game."
Currently doesn't support Intel HD, if you try to play it anyway, you get this and the whole screen is double mirrored across the left side.
Wholly recommended even at this stage.

Portrait of Ruin. Nest of Evil's neat as a bonus dungeon as far as having various enemies not used elsewhere in the game at times, though the layout's a straight forward "five rooms of enemies -> Boss -> Warp point unlock" that just keeps going further downward. Healing Mail is pretty useful for conserving potions (as is the Ankh equip to get more out of your potions), but it does make it a bit of a slog as the healing factor is movement based, and considering you can apparently warp in and out after every two rows of rooms without losing progress, it's not like you're all that limited on supplies when you can just go and buy more after each boss, assuming you've got enough money to. I'd assumed going in it might be a gauntlet sort of endurance dungeon where you don't get to keep progression if you leave, or have to keep moving until either you beat it or game over.
Was shocked at how quickly the Acidic Bubbles spell wrecked that second boss in there.
