1. Rizon's BNC service needs you to be with them for a week. It's not even that good anyway, so I wouldn't hold out. Use a different BNC, or host your own BNC locally (last isn't too feasible, I know how few people own home servers, it's pretty cheap though)
2. Unless you've configured something wrong, you shouldn't have any problems with this, your client should just reconnect before too long.
3. Inline image display would be pretty nice, I think aside from shitty web clients though, that's NEVER going to happen.
4. VC is stupid anyway.
5. Most mainstream networks will do this for you, if you really cared about being so secure though, you wouldn't join weird networks without a proxy.
6. Spend like 20 seconds looking through your client's settings and I'm sure there'll be an option.

If there's enough of a push in marketing for this thing, it could overtake Dickswords. All they'd need to do is add more integration with other applications like popular video games, social media, music etc and have videos played in the browser, including mp4 and webm, and they'd instantly be ahead of disagreement with a mild amount of marketing on somewhere like Reddit.
The WEBM support would be paramount, as League of Legends uses WEBM to save their replays. If they took this to LoL's forums/subreddit/etc and simply said "It's disagreement without datamining and video support for your replays", they'd get a sizable number of users.
The mass public do care about their privacy, they're just too retarded to do it themselves, so if you hand them the solution they'll take it.

Honestly, options for social media and similar tools like this aren't lacking at all.
You have tons of them for chat or voicechat, like Mumble, Tox, Riot, alternatives to Twitter like Gab and even alternatives to Facebook\Youtube with Minds or similar stuff.
I think the differences between these are not really that important since they'll mostly follow the same mold from the "original" ideas and you end up going along with the thing that your friends are using anyway. Which is pretty ironic, actually.
