The alpha series is not beginner friendly at all and there are barely any guides online on how to git gud. I'm speaking from playing the arcade version; I've never played the GBA version

Alpha 3 is not an entry level game, it was made to cash in on SFA hardcores after SF3 failed in the arcades and Capcom had no fucks left to give. Play SFA2 until you know it inside out then go back. SFA2 is better though

Anything on the Neo Geo Pocket is good

The SNK Gameboy titles are the best fighters for the gameboy

Anything on the PSP/Vita controls well and most ports are run just as well as their console counterparts

Dead or Alive Dimensions is the best fighter on the 3DS

The King of Fighters EX2: Howling Blood is the best fighter on the GBA

The PSP version is close to the definitive version, with the exception of it not having the extra ISMs Capcom added to the PS2 Alpha Anthology collection.

nah you're just bad at fighting games. if you can space well, you can beat the hardest AI with pretty much just heavy punch.

The PSP version has more content than the dreamcast version. The only good thing about the dreamcast version was it's online features which are useless now

I really hope Alpha 3 on the 30th Anniversary Collection isn't as gimped as they are advertising.
