VR is kewl but it's still way too expensive. They need to get the HD-resolution goggles down to $100-$200 or so, because people won't want to accept less resolution than they would get off a typical business PC screen. And I think that VR will mostly stay a gaming/porn thing.

Also I like head-mounted displays–the kind that superimpose a screen image in front of one eye–and you can build cheap ones but all of the good examples of those still cost a lot too. I expect that someday "laptop" PCs will get rid of the screens and just have a head-mounted-display jack (or two) instead. Other than the CPU, the screen is the biggest power-using part now. ,,,,So eventually, your "laptop" is going to be a mobile phone with a HMD attached to it.
There is a lot of situations in business & industry where a HMD would be a HUGE boost to productivity–(being able to look up instructions for how to do anything, wherever you are)…. My main worry is that Im an old fart who won't get to see much of their proliferation. Google Glass kinda pushed into this a bit, but they decided to sell it as a end-user toy and it got cancelled before much really happened.
