Pretty much any decent game made 2005 or before will run on that.
I'd recommend grabbing DosBox or some GOG games and running them in a Window. Strategy and management games are good for quicksaving/closing. Try stuff like SimCity 2000, Yoot Tower, Master of Orion, or Call to Power. You could also try running emulators for older systems like GBA or SNES.

Any Bethesda game before Skyrim should be playable, given I manged to play half of FO3 on a 7500 le/7300 gt when my old laptop died. As for other games, Elite Force 1 and 2, Star Trek Armada 1 and 2, any stronghold game, and spore should work fine.

Sounds like you should get an emulator so you can use the flash save hotkey before ALT+F4 if someone walks up to you.
Or keep your phone on your desk and use that like I do, turning the screen off when people walk by. They probably monitor what you do on a work laptop every now and then.
