Not sure about GTA as the developers were British but Postal certainly wouldn't have existed. The plot of the original was about how the government is brainwashing people into mass murderers by making them play violent video games and the sequel pokes fun at the various politicians who blamed video games for mass shootings.

Guys had great taste in music, shame about everything else, though.
The real kicker is KMFDM didn't start sounding like school shooter music until as late as 2007 onwards. Before that, the band was half-and half weird house techno and industrial rock albums with barely nothing that could be interpreted as promoting violence. The sound was just that powerful.

I wouldn't call it dead, rather dormant. Because the art portal is a good place for young artists to build an audience but their games and movies sections are a joke. The fact that there is no longer a tab at the top of the page for 18+ should be an indicator of how low they've fallen as a website. Especially when you consider they're supported primarily by direct donations from the users and not adverts. Everything by everyone, except 18+ materials apparently because god knows no adults go there anymore.

Honestly, I always thought those flashes were tasteless to the point of disturbing as a kid. Like South Park but without any humor or plot that makes any of the violence relevant.
