Many of my greatest vidya memories were from that game. God I fucking miss it. It was absolutely rad before EA got their hands on it. And even then, it was still fun, but infested with cancer items.
And then, when we finally get to play it again with all the cancerous content removed and every item free, EA gives the middle finger to the people who used to play the actual relevant Battlefield games, and shuts down the project forever. A great game ruined by Jewry yet again. Garbage like Fornite isn't anything like Heroes. Even in visuals it looks like garbage compared to Heroes' style.

I go through periods where I don't touch the game for months, then I'll just binge on it for a couple of weeks or a month, even spending real money for xp boosts to unlock weapons, memebership for that extra 50% boost and other boosts maxing out my credit xp gain at 195% which translates to capturing one point gets me 10 credits, so if i ghost cap flying around in an ESF i can easily gain enough credits in an hour to pay one or two top end weapons with creds.

Think MOBAs, with half the team size & twice the game. The side scrolling angle does a good job adding to the moment to moment action. The character roster is pretty big and extremely diverse in the gameplay department. There's very little waiting around besides some of the longest, but most reliable matchmaking I've ever come across with short ability recharges and generally good auto attacks.
Team play isn't so important, because there are only 3v3s. 1 good teamate can carry, but can't overwhelm good coordination either.

I'm on the fence about the A.S.P. system they've put in place, on the one hand it gives you something else to do once you hit lvl 120 and technically it's not pay to win as a free player you can access this you just need to contribute 10,000 certs. On the other hand it absolutely is pay to win because even being a member and in squads that use squad boost it takes me about a couple of days at the minimum to reach 1000 certs. So without all those extra xp benefits I imagine it'll take months to earn that 10,000 certs requirement might even take longer as you HAVE to be br 120.
It's too new to know what advantage it'll give those shitters just yet, but I'm glad they didn't give the infiltrator class the option for carbines like they were going too before the outcry.

There's talk that daybreak are working on bringing in Battlefield Mechs or something similar I think Planetside 1 had them introduced. I don't know all the information but images of them were posted to the PS2 reddit don't hate me, it's the only place that actively talks about planetside with information from the devs themselves, that I go to other than the actual forum
I think it was said these aren't like normal vehicles in that you have to work towards a goal, the entire faction and get them unlocked when certain requirements are met, and they can have 3 people in them. I wish I had saved those pics of what they looked like.
